Bethenny Frankel, star of the Real Housewives of NYC appeared on the Today Show this morning, and touched on a lot of topics. The video is below.
Bethenny discussed the rather controversial nude picture she took for PETA. She had been criticized for saying little to no airbrushing was done, when the actual before and after photo showed a lot of airbrushing. “There was a rogue boob they took out,” Bethenny told TODAY’s Matt Lauer of the photo, which was taken when she was pregnant. “It’s a little airbrushed, but the truth is, here it is. I don’t care.”
She continued, “It wasn’t like I was posing for a fitness video or I was trying to be a model. It was about not wearing fur, which I’m really passionate about.”
When asked about her pregnancy and wedding plans to fiance, Jason Hoppy, Bethenny told Lauer she’s too busy thinking about her baby to plan a wedding. She is due in June 2010 by the way. Bethenny also said that people might have to change how they view her once she becomes a mom. “I think people think I’m a little abrasive,” she said. “It’s going to be hard for people to imagine me being soft and cuddly with a little, cute pink baby.”
Bethenny who just wrapped up filming the 3rd season of the Real NYC Housewives has been given her own reality show on Bravo. The show is currently in production, but according to Bethenny, she might still return for a 4th season of the NYC Housewives. “Who knows if I’ll be on ‘Housewives’?” she told Lauer. “This season is so incredible, it’s nice to leave the part at full-tilt.”
