After consistently losing viewers week after week, I'm here watching Basketball Wives L.A. so y'all can spend your hour doing something more productive…like napping. 🙂
Jackie Christie is beyond thrilled that Laura Govan is open to reconciling, and Jackie is telling Laura about her lunch meeting with Draya Michele. She informs Laura that Draya stormed out of their meeting, and Laura is confused as to why Jackie even cares. She feels Jackie is so desperate for friendship when she should just focus on people with whom she won't have issues. Jackie doesn't quite detail the lunch in the way I remember, and she is quick to say that she wants to give Draya another chance. Jackie isn't sure if she should invite Draya to her vow renewal since she didn't come last year. Laura just can't believe that Jackie cares whether Draya comes or not, given the day is essentially about her and Doug.
Malaysia Pargo is styling in some giant glasses in her interview. She meets with Gloria Govan to discuss the relationship with the Sisters Govan. Gloria is sporting some oversize reading glasses as well. Did these women develop vision problems in the last week? It's like LensCrafters just blew up in here! I do love that Malayasia has taken on the role of peacemaker this season. She shares that Gloria has hurt Laura's feelings with her distance. Gloria promises she'll talk to her sister, and she appreciate Malaysia being such a good friend to Laura.

Draya's mother and father are visiting L.A., and she is hoping that either or both of them will relocate permanently. Until Draya said that was her dad, I totally would have guessed he was her brother. He looks so young! He is willing to move and help Draya and her mother with Draya's son. Draya's mother plans to move once her grandson is finished with the school year. Draya reveals that her father wasn't around for most of her life growing up, but he makes up for it by being such a great grandfather to her son.
Gloria and a new pair of glasses are unveiling the comics on which her web series will be based. Laura joins her sister, but she hopes she's not losing her to the acting world.
Malaysia and her biffle Bambi head to meet Jackie for lunch. Bambi is excited to see Jackie for herself, and Jackie is quick to tell her that she isn't crazy like she may have heard. Bambi inquires about Jackie's vow renewal, and Jackie says that she and Malaysia may not feel comfortable with it, given that she's having it in the gay community and Malaysia is totally homophobic. This accusation, of course, finally gives Malaysia a bit of pause where Jackie is concerned. Since when is she homophobic?
The Sisters Govan are getting out some of their aggression towards one another on the basketball court. After playing, they start to discuss what has been going on their lives. Gloria reveals that she loves how her career is taking off in L.A., but she isn't sure where Matt is going to be with the NBA. Laura pointedly reminds her that her family should be her career first. Laura can't imagine not following Matt if he gets transferred. Gloria is taken aback when Laura accuses her of being selfish and being too "hella Hollywood." Laura doesn't even recognize her sister, although Gloria feels the most like herself when she's around her family. Gloria is hurt that Laura never reached out to her during the eight months she was split from Matt. Gloria felt so alone and isolated from her everyone during their break-up. The Sisters Govan are in tears and pledge to work on their relationship. They share a hug and an awkward secret handshake.
Draya is meeting up with Malaysia and Bambi. Malaysia tells Draya the story she heard from Jackie about Draya walking out of their lunch. Draya is floored. That isn't how it happened at all. Bambi then tells Draya about her issues with Brooke. Draya thinks Bambi seems cool, but she doesn't want her bringing a bunch of drama into the group.
Doug and Jackie are doing a cake tasting for their wedding. We're only half way through the episode, and it's totally the Jackie Show. Save for that quick scene focusing on the Sisters Govan, everything has centered on Jackie in some form or fashion. She shares with Doug that she's trying to reconnect with the ladies, and she wants to invite them to the vow renewal. Doug advises her to ask only the women who she won't be upset if they don't attend. If she's going to be upset if someone is a no-show, he says she shouldn't ask them.
Gloria and Laura are trying to mend, and they go for a walk to discuss Gloria going out of town to work on her new series. Laura wants to be supportive and throw her sister a going-away party…even though she's only going to be gone for twelve days. Gloria volunteers that Laura is more than welcome to include Jackie. Laura also wants to include Bambi even though Gloria has never met her. Gloria wonders why Laura is friends with Jackie, and she teases her about being maid-of-honor in Jackie's vow renewal. Laura isn't even sure if she's going to attend the wedding. Yikes.
Draya and her mom head to a psychic. She isn't too keen on getting a reading, but she likes spending time with her mother. Draya is creeped out by the whole store, and she is nervous to meet the psychic. Draya breaks down when she is told that she calls it like she sees it and doesn't like fakeness. She is even more floored when the psychic tells her she senses a creative side in Draya. Um, I think anyone would want to hear that and find it to be pretty accurate. Don't get me wrong, I am ADDICTED to Long Island Medium (it may be my favorite reality show EVER), but this reading is too vague for my taste. Draya then spills her life's problems to the psychic. I'll hand it to this psychic, she gives great advice, but that's all it is…advice.
Doug and Jackie are revisiting their wedding space. They are introduced to the go-go dancers, and Jackie is shocked to see that one of them is a pretty woman. She was just planning dudes. When Jackie said she wanted to tout the gay community, she meant gay men, not hot ladies. Kidding, Jackie is thrilled about just how crazy their ceremony is going to be. She then surprises Doug by telling him that her daughter will be coming to the wedding to serve as her maid-of-honor.
The Sisters Govan and their cleavage are heading to Gloria's happy hour with Brooke. Jackie joins them, and Gloria is equal parts relieved and disappointed (she doesn't want to miss the crazy!) that she'll be out of town for Jackie's wedding. Laura is floored when Jackie asks her to be her second maid-of-honor, and before she can answer, a giggling Gloria toasts to her sister's new title. In the midst of the celebrating (Laura is still in shock), Draya, Malaysia, and Bambi arrive. Draya is icy towards Jackie as she hands all the women invitations to her wedding. Jackie then makes a public announcement that she loves Draya but her feelings were hurt when Draya left her at lunch. Draya doesn't like how much Jackie is talking down to her, and when Jackie offers her a lollipop, things hit the fan. Jackie then starts calling Draya a ho. I'm with Brooke…I don't think anyone wants to mess with Jackie. Bambi's face couldn't be more excited to see the impending brawl of which Malaysia is caught in the middle.
Next week, Jackie tells Bambi that she is done with Draya, and Malaysia questions Draya's sanity for going head-to-head with a crazy person. Draya will not be attending Jackie's wedding…that's for sure!
