The headline moment of the altercation between Danielle Cabral and Jennifer Aydin was finally witnessed by Real Housewives of New Jersey viewers during the recent episode.
There was clarity that Jennifer was the one who put her hands on Danielle first. But the mother-of-five acted like the victim when Danielle retaliated by throwing a drink in her face. And it seems like at least some concern should have been given to how the Boujie Kidz founder felt. But Jen and Teresa Giudice’s lack of concern was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
Danielle was a “better friend” to the duo
Danielle spoke to Access Hollywood about the true extent of her friendship with Jen and why she felt so betrayed by the altercation.
The hosts asked Danielle if she thought there was “a path forward” with either Jen or Teresa. It was a clear “no” for the former, but is there potential with Teresa?
“No. I haven’t been able to really talk to her,” Danielle said about connecting with the RHONJ OGr since the altercation. “I don’t know. Things went down after that happened, the next day. The next day was not, ‘how you doing? it was ‘I feel bad for Jen.'”
“It’s really sad, now that you think about it, I was probably a better friend to them than they are to each other,” she added. “And they ruined that. I would have been there, I did right by them. And they destroyed them.”
It was the depth of Danielle and Jen’s friendship that had the Boujie Kidz founder reeling with betrayal. Jen accused her of misallocating funds from her charity event, among other bold statements.
“What you don’t know is, I had a closer relationship with Jen than Jen did with Teresa. I would talk on the phone with Jen all the time. We were close. She would come over my house and we would go away with the kids. With Jen, I gave her more of a friendship than I know Teresa ever has,” she explained.
“So for her to say, ‘I’m just getting to know you’ it’s so … ugh,” Danielle reacted.
Needless to say, Danielle doesn’t find Jen and Teresa’s friendship genuine. Will the duo turn on each other this season?
