Heather Dubrow of Real Housewives of Orange County didn’t get the nickname ‘Fancy Pants’ for nothing. The mother of four is no stranger to the finer things in life. Whether flying in a private jet to move her children into college or always having the champagne on ice, Heather is a woman we all wouldn’t mind being. Regarding her high-end fashion, Heather embraces a clean-cut line and neutral colors and is known for her impeccable fashion sense.
Dollars to donuts, Heather is a great housewife. She’s rich, funny, charming, brilliant, and polarizing without being a villain. She provides a great contrast to many of the women the show was originally built around. Heather won the lottery in life. Her interior design taste, fashion style, and ability to throw a fantastic party have solidified her as one of the best OC housewives.
Heather’s Closet
Four years ago, Heather launched her own line on ShopHQ. Heather, who fancied herself a designer, noted that the Bravo star designed and curated the collection of luxury items. Heather has always stated that you shouldn’t have to spend a ton of money to look and feel your best, though I dare say her large Chanel collection would make that point null and void. The collection had a close eye for detail and luxury finishes. Heather’s goal with her first collection was to have each item stand the test of time as it transitioned seamlessly to each season.
The fashion line didn’t receive rave reviews. At the time fans took to Reddit to question her decisions. One fan wrote, “She clearly doesn’t need the money. So why Heather, WHY! These are so ugly and who is paying 233 for that? Get a nice Kate Spade bag instead.” Another viewer added, “All of these purses look like the purses you’d find at TJMaxx or Marshall’s on that big rack of purses.” So after that failed attempt, fans thought that was the last they’d see of Heather and her fashion lines. But Fancy Pants wasn’t done, no ma’am.
Heather’s new venture
Heather is back and ready to make an imprint in the fashion world. The actress took to her Instagram, writing, “SNEAK PEEK!! So excited to share a little peek into what we’ve been working on. We are so excited! To be the first to know, sign up by clicking the link in the bio, but before you go. Any guesses??” The video showed colorful fabrics and leather. Heather then added, “I’ve been working on something that you are absolutely going to love. Stay tuned! It’s coming your way soon!”

Who is Susan?
Susan is a graduate of the Stern School of Business at New York University. According to her website, she worked briefly in the corporate world before quickly finding herself in the garment district. Susan explained, “I chose my favorite medium, leather, to design a collection of comfortable and wearable pieces for my friends and then for their friends. A leather piece can last a lifetime.” Susan believes in working with fair-paying factories where she knows each worker.
Even though Heather doesn’t have a background in fashion, she has a good eye. Thanks to her multiple trips to New York and Paris Fashion Week, she has honed in on what she likes to see on the catwalk. Heather has been a hosted client of Louis Vuitton in the past, which means the fashion house takes care of everything. So they paid for flights and her clothes provided drivers, and invited her to exclusive parties. While she most likely won’t be hosting her new customers in any such way, it might be interesting to see what Heather has decided to contribute to the world of fashion.
