The Real Housewives of New Jersey is going for the good feels with recent conversations between cast members and their producers. It’s almost like breaking the fourth wall so that viewers can see two people connected with the show who actually enjoy each other’s company may help ratings.
First, it was Rachel Fuda and her producer bonding over a shared IVF journey. Now, Jennifer Aydin is sharing what bonds herself and producer, Serife Turhan.
Jennifer’s producer helped her “see things in a different light”
Jennifer revealed the shared heritage with her producer and bonded with them immediately.
“I feel like I loved you instantaneously. I know you as Serife. It’s a Turkish word. We say it to celebrate,” the Bravolebrity revealed.
“The minute you find out someone that someone’s also from Turkey, it’s like sympatico right away,” she added.
Serife agreed that sharing a cultural background made them “like family instantly.”
Certainly, someone who understands Turkish culture would be easier to speak to about issues like arranged marriages and family expectations.
Jennifer had to deal with the emotional aftermath of her husband’s affair coming to light. She spoke of prioritizing her family and children. The issues would be viewed differently from the lens of Turkish societal norms.
“There was an instant trust,” she said. “And with everything that I was going through in my life, you understood the most, I felt because you could relate. Coming from a Turkish mother. And being first generation here.”
Talking to Serife was therapeutic for the reality TV star, who often butted heads with Margaret Josephs.
“I feel like you’re able to get me to a place where I could see things in a different light. And, you know, just help me to be a better version of myself on camera,” Jennifer told her friend.
So far this season, Jennifer is on better footing. She and Bill Aydin are in a better place, and she came to a truce with Melissa Gorga.
