The Summer House Season 8 reunion gave us an update on Ciara Miller and West Wilson’s relationship that nobody wanted to hear. The two of them are no longer together, and we had to suffer through watching West trying to explain himself at the reunion. Truly, it felt like the disappointment of the century.
To add insult to the jury, it sounds like Ciara and West barely even have a friendship right now. Their spark might have completely fizzled out in every way possible. However, that could change if they both happen to get a call for Season 9.
West and Ciara’s relationship after Season 8
After Part 1 of the Season 8 reunion aired, West spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the disappointing end to his relationship with Ciara. He seemed fully aware that he’s no longer the favorite newbie.
“People, they’re gonna hate me for it,” West said about his fizzled relationship with Ciara.
Hate is a strong word, but it is frustrating to see this romance deteriorate. Throughout all of Season 8, the two of them seemed like they were going to end up hard launching a relationship by the end of the summer. It turns out, they hardly even spoke before the reunion. Even today. West admitted that they have “minimal communication.” They went from lovers to acquaintances in a matter of months.
According to West, a little bit of distance from each other is “probably for the best,” but he doesn’t think this awkward phase will last forever. There’s always next summer. He predicted the two would be able to quickly reconcile if they both return for Season 9.
“There was never anything gross, nasty, evil,” West explained. “I mean, it all felt pretty mutual and respectful the whole time, so I don’t think there’s any hatred.”
The Summer House reunion continues on Bravo next Thursday at 9/8c.
