Tom Sandoval Blowing His Life Up For A Girl Who Ghosted Him Is Hilarious

There is something about a true underdog story that followers can’t help but get behind. Usually, the villain has a fall from grace and works their way back up into the good drees of their social circle. However, that is not this story. As Vanderpump Rules fans are painfully aware, Tom Sandoval has refused to take hold of any lifeline thrown to him by the WeHo group. He instead often enjoys doubling down, claiming he is, in fact, the victim in the whole three-ring circus. A year after Scandoval, Tom still doesn’t understand why cheating on his partner of ten years was a pretty big deal. However, it seems Karma is paying him a visit.

All about the image

Tom is all about his image and painfully curates a look that includes white nail polish, vintage 90s T-shirts, and a persona that shows him as always having the high ground. But the last few episodes of Vanderpump Rules have shown Rachel Leviss dropping him like a hot potato. And that is not good for his representation. I genuinely think Sandy convinced himself that he would be riding off into the sunset with Rachel by his side. Honestly, the thought is comedy at its finest.

Listening to Sandoval say that he’s in love with Rachel feels like a punchline he can’t deliver. Also, Tom mentioned that he chose to stop drinking to feel closer to her because she had given up alcohol. All I see happening here is Tom laying down the groundwork for their redemption narrative. Which we now know is never coming. Everything he is trying to push is false, and if Rachel hadn’t dipped out, I wonder how long he would have put on this act.

Love blew up

It is still unfathomable that Tom blew up his and Rachel’s lives under the guise of being so deeply in love. When watching Sandy in the current episodes, it often feels like he isn’t living in the same reality that I am. His crocodile tears are more cartoon-like than sympathy-inducing, so much so that even Lisa Vanderpump can’t handle his over-the-top waterworks. Now Tom is dragging out his being ghosted as if it were a saga on Days of Our Lives.

I believe Rachel started to see right through his persona and it DID NOT help when Tom tried to make her feel bad for going to therapy. It took the former model a long time to realize that what she had with Tom was not love. Rachel, the girl who didn’t have a voice, looked like a deer in the headlights, and always was the butt of jokes, is the one who got the last word with Tom. Now, that is irony.

Take a hint

There is nothing more cringey than watching a dude not being able to take a hint. Rachel blocked you AND refused to talk to you for a month- it’s over, man. Watching Tom process essentially him being dumped is also quite funny because he is channeling his inner middle schooler. Tom had already cried not so quietly in the closet, waved around Rachel’s old Polaroids, and checked his phone nonstop for days. Tom reeked of desperation as he pleaded with Aphrodite, saying, “I want to just have some sort of relationship with her, whether it’s a friendship, whether it’s…” It’s nothing, Tom. You get nothing.

Tom’s need to pretend to be worried about Rachel was comical at best. In his best dramatic movie role, he delivered the words, “I’ve been worried fu*king sick about her. I just want to give her a fu*king hug and know that she’s okay.” I don’t believe he worried about her being okay for one second because if he did, he wouldn’t have asked her to lie at the reunion, I truly think Tom sees himself as a leading man, but in reality, he is just the court jester providing ample entertainment to us courtiers. Aka the viewers.

Tom became the butt of all jokes when Scandoval made it big on SNL, and I guarantee he is taking it as a compliment instead of a moment to look inward at his clown-like reflection. Needless to say, Tom will always have the last laugh.
