Buckle up, because there’s a long road ahead of us with this divorce between Simon Guobadia and Porsha Williams. We’ve covered plenty of reality TV divorces over the years, so we know how these things play out. Things fall apart fast, but then it takes forever to actually finalize the divorce. Right now, we’re in the stage of the process where both parties are posting cryptic messages to social media about their divorce.
Porsha wrote on Instagram thanking fans for their prayers. Simon, on the other hand, decided to take to social media to remind the world that he still loves his wife and isn’t ready to give up on his marriage.
As Bravo’s The Daily Dish reported, Simon took a moment to profess his undying love for his soon-to-be ex on his Instagram Stories.
The love isn’t lost
Porsha and Simon’s relationship drama started just days after Porsha confirmed her return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta. A few days later, allegations began surfacing about Simon’s criminal past. Allegedly, he’s at risk of being deported from the United States. Then, like clockwork, the news broke that Porsha filed for divorce.
At this point, both parties have been quiet about the reasoning behind their divorce. According to insiders, the sudden split had nothing to do with the stories flying around about Simon’s past. They claimed it was due to an “ongoing matter.”
Regardless of the reason behind the divorce, Simon isn’t ready to give up on his wife. On Instagram, he made it clear that his heart is still in the relationship, or at least until the ink dries on those divorce papers.
“Will Stop Loving My Wife When Divorce is Final,” Simon wrote in a since-deleted Instagram Story.
Of course, there’s no telling when this divorce will be final. Although Porsha and Simon were only married for about 15 months, we’ve seen plenty of reality TV stars whose divorces last longer than the marriage itself.
