Among the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 developments, fans have now been treated to the revelation that Lala Kent and Scheana Shay are reportedly closer than ever. Scheana and Lala have been longtime pals, but their friendship has had its ups and downs.
In the wake of Scandoval, their bond seemed especially uncertain. With torn allegiances and intense divisions, a divide grew between Scheana and Ariana Madix. Lala, unwilling to rock the boat, stayed firmly on Ariana’s side.
But as 2023 went on, Scheana and Lala appeared to drift back together. The duo even took a girls’ trip to Vegas with their daughters. So, what changed? How did the two drift back together and reseal their bond so securely?
Lala and Scheana are “more delicate” with each other
In an interview released on January 30, Cosmopolitan asked Lala to whom she felt closest on VPR Season 11. “I’m the closest with Scheana this upcoming season,” she answered. “This past Christmas, she welcomed me and my family into her home in Palm Springs.”
As for why that meant so much to her, Lala explained, “You know, my family does look different and I have to share my kid now on holidays, and to have someone who brought me into their home and made a holiday feel like a holiday was something I was really grateful for. And that’s when she and I got extremely close.”
Lala continued, “Since then, she’s really seen what I go through on a day-to-day basis, which I hide from most of the world. It’s very intense and it’s a lot, and I think once I felt comfortable enough and she saw a lot of the things I had to deal with, we just created this amazing bond where I feel like she’s more delicate with me and I’m more delicate with her.”
In the same interview, Lala expressed how she and Scheana often felt like “outcasts” as the only members of the group with kids. Lala closed out her thoughts by saying, “We had a great season of relying on each other.”
