Kandi Burruss’ Best Moments On RHOA

The icon that is Kandi Burruss shared with the Bravosphere that she is hanging up her peach in favor of greener pastures. From day one, the Grammy Award-winning music artist made her mark on the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Fans watched her navigate a rocky breakup, being a single mother, losing her fiancé, and finding true love once more. Now it is time to say goodbye to the fan favorite who, even though became a bit boring in the latter years, will always remain in our hearts and memories. Here are Kandi Burruss’ best moments from RHOA.

The Stand Up

Kandi never forgot where she came from, and if you made her angry, she would put you in your place. NeNe Leakes learned this firsthand during Season 1. Ironically, the argument centered around NeNe not wanting to work with Kim Zolciak after her breakout hit, Don’t Be Tardy. Kandi was trying to explain that sometimes you have to work with people you don’t like in the music business.

But NeNe wasn’t having any of it, stating, “I don’t spend my time talking about you.” However, it was clear she had been, and Kandi knew it. Like a dog with a bone, Kandi stood her ground against NeNe as the mother of two got in her face. Kandi tried to de-escalate the issues but screamed, “Bring it on down,” a phrase that would live in Bravo infamy. Lord, I did hate watching Mary J and Fantasia look-alikes duke it out though.

The Sex Dungeon

Who could ever forget Kandi choosing to mock the very same storyline that she was once accused of secretly having: The Sex Dungeon. Season 13 welcomed all the ladies to the dungeon, and it even had Bolo, the stripper, as the women prepared for a bachelorette night they would never forget.

Cynthia Bailey was making the most of the evening as all the women were asked to dress in their sexiest lingerie. Kandi pretty much-scared everyone as she came out as total Dom. Nobody was thinking of chicken wings when they had Bolo on hand, that was for sure.

The Lies!

The Season 9 reunion still lives rent-free in my head as Kandi and Phaedra Parks went head to head. The two had been best friends for multiple seasons, but their fallout was triggered after it was revealed that Phaedra had started a rumor that suggested Kandi and her husband had malice intentions of drugging Porsha Williams. After Porsha dropped the bomb that it was, the lawyer pulled the puppet strings, and all hell broke loose.

Kandi became visibly upset, and she yelled, “That is some bullsh*t. I don’t owe her sh*t, and I would say that to anybody. Not a motherfu*king thing.” Phaedra tried to play it cool by claiming she was told the information, but the jig was up when Porsha outed her for being the one to come up with the rumor. Kandi was left with no other option but to yell, “The lies. The lies!”

Pillow Talk

When Kandi was activated, she was unstoppable, and nothing proved this point better than when NeNe tried to host a Pillow Talk sleepover party in a hotel room. The alone should have warranted an RSVP of a “no.” First, the RHOA men had to be pulled apart then the women became involved, specifically Cynthia and Kandi.

Both Cynthia and Peter Thomas got up in Kandi and Todd Tucker’s faces, with Mallory (Cynthia’s sister) ultimately pushing Todd. It didn’t help that Peter told the couple they were “Acting real street,” but it was the shove that ignited Kandy, who then had to be physically held back as she screamed her now iconic line, “I will drag you in this b*tch!”

Kandi will undoubtedly be missed, and her departure makes me think that the Real Housewives of Atlanta will be going through an overhaul sooner than we think. So the rest of the women should be holding on tightly to their fair peaches.
