Don’t come for Melissa Gorga’s man and don’t come for her Sunday Sauce! Much like her sister-in-law, Melissa enjoys cooking for her family. And similar to Teresa Giudice, Mel sometimes shares her culinary journeys on social media.
Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 will find Melissa not speaking to Tre and the cast being divided into two teams. Teresa’s fan base isn’t pleased Melissa and Joe Gorga are returning and they might be taking it out on her sauce. On a recent TikTok, Melissa treated her followers to some expert cooking skills. Unfortunately for Mel, someone came in and knocked her meatballs.
NOT THE MEATBALLS
Poor Melissa was just trying to put herself on display and show off how she keeps Joe’s stomach filled. With the sounds of 1980’s music filling the air, Melissa began to prepare a delicious Sunday food extravaganza. “There’s nothing like a Sunday with good music and making Sunday sauce,” the high priestess of pasta began.
Mel showed off some scrumptious meatballs and started chopping garlic and onions. She also notes she enjoys the Lionel Richie Pandora channel because nothing says cooking like the dulcet tones of classic rock ballads in the background.
“This is Lionel Richie radio on Pandora. It’s my favorite. I listen to it every Sunday morning while I cook,” Melissa revealed. The mom of three is singing along to the music, why this video is five minutes long, I have no idea. She’s tossing in white wine, basil, salt, and then … the comment.
A follower wrote, “Joe’s mother would never bake meatballs!!!!!” As if this person has internal knowledge of what ingredients Nonna (RIP) would use. Melissa was nonplussed as she said her mother-in-law “always did” exactly that with her balled-up meat.
The chef removed her meatballs from the oven with great care and added them to the Sunday Sauce, much like Nonna before her. She proudly showed off her efforts to Joe who had prepared his own special Italian peppers.
Imagine their joy while Endless Love, their wedding song, began to play as Melissa lovingly gazed at the cheese and crackers on the table. Finally, the big reveal! A fine spread of meatballs approved by Nonna, pasta, red wine, and so much more. As she and Joe toasted to the bounty before them, she said, “Happy Sunday…”
