VPR viewers know that Sandoval and Rachel took their relationship to the next level after “guys night at the Mondrian,” but we don’t know much more about the first-time rendezvous.

Rachel opened up about the initial hookup in Chapter 1 of her podcast and set the record straight about who made the first move. The Beauty Queen revealed that Sandoval showed up at SUR a couple of days after the guys night out because he knew she was filming. After getting a drink together at The Abbey, the two returned to Sandoval’s place, where they decided to take a dip in the pool.

“I took my jeans off and I had this corset top on, so I left that on. I was in my underwear and I went in his pool,” she said. “[He wore] just his boxers.”

She continued, “I’m swimming around in the shallow side of the pool and then he’s swimming around in the deep end and my phone is playing music… He came swimming over to me and he’s like, ‘Turn that down.'”

“He looked at me a certain way and then he like grabbed me, spun me and kissed me,” she shared. “I was surprised but like happy. Ugh. God. So bad. So embarrassing.”

Rachel told listeners she tried to leave after the kiss but Sandoval stopped her. She then suggested they talk in her car because she felt “weird” talking in his backyard. Once the two moved to the car, they hooked up for the first time.

Rachel also shared that Ariana Madix was upstairs sleeping during the whole ordeal. Yikes.

Rachel kept the affair hidden from her VPR castmates, but she did share the secret with a friend. She did not share the identity of the friend but revealed they had warned her that the situation was “not good.”

“He was like, ‘Raquel, this is not good. What about Ariana?'” she said, adding that the friend suggested she end the affair.

Rachel Clears the Air about Graham

Rachel received a lot of heat after TMZ reported that her parents dropped her dog Graham off at a shelter in July. According to the outlet, Lisa Vanderpump‘s dog rescue center, Vanderpump Dogs, was alerted about Graham’s whereabouts and they took him into their care. Lisa then re-homed Graham to James Kennedy. After the news broke, public disdain for Rachel grew as rumors circulated that she dropped her dog off at a kill shelter.

She set the record straight on the January 8 episode, dispelling claims that she put her dog in a position to be euthanized. She said she was faced with the choice of giving up Graham or leaving treatment after he bit her mom. She explained that her parents found a breed-specific Goldendoodle rescue that would train him and find a new home for him. After the rescue had trouble finding him a new home, they scanned his microchip and saw he belonged to her, so they contacted Lisa Vanderpump.

Rachel also expressed concern over the dog being placed in her ex’s care, stating, “James was not a good dog owner. [He] would taunt Graham and just antagonize him.”

Reality Tea reached out to James for comment but did not immediately receive a response.

Rachel Thinks Producers Used Graham as Bait

Rachel told listeners she was shocked when she learned Graham was present during filming in Lake Tahoe for Vanderpump Rules Season 11. The 29-year-old theorized that producers planned to surprise her with the news if she had returned to the Bravo show.

“I was only a week out of my treatment and their whole plan was to get me to [Lake] Tahoe, so that they could drop this bomb on me,” she said on the podcast, noting that producers wanted her to make her Season 11 debut on the trip.
