They may be far apart in their age and experience, but Kathy Hilton and North West run in the same social circles. North mainly because of her mom, Kim Kardashian.
Over the holidays, Kathy and North were spotted at the same event. There, North and Paris Hilton tried to get Kathy to use TikTok. That’s where things got a little odd.
Kathy began singing an original Christmas song on the spot, which left North bewildered. Take a listen for yourself below.
Merry Christmas, Northy!
Paris Hilton, 42, shared the song in question in a TikTok video from the star-stuffed Kardashian Christmas Eve party.
As Paris and North recorded, Kathy, the 64-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, smiled and laughed in the video. She then began to sing a holiday tune for North that she made up on the spot, making the young girl look visibly confused.
The song began innocently enough with the Hilton matriarch singing, “Merry Christmas, Northy! We love you!” and then got weirder as she encouraged North, 10, to sing along to a song she was making up as she went.
As North remained smiling and gracious on camera, Paris jumped in with a smile and explained, “My mom has never done TikTok, so she has no idea what she’s doing.” The Simple Life alum just laughed in good fun, and told her mom she was “beyond.”
The awkwardness didn’t escape Paris’ followers, though, as some of the comments on the video included, “North is like, I have no idea what you’re talking about, lady … Paris stepping in for the win!”
And, “Kathy is everyone’s mom on video.”
Improv song aside, though, it looks like it was one heck of a holiday party!
