It looks like the feud between Nneka Ihim and Dr. Wendy Osefo still has a lot of steam.
When Nneka came into Season 8 of Real Housewives of Potomac, she and Wendy pretended like they didn’t know each other. Then, with each episode, we’ve learned more and more about the complex connection between Wendy’s sister Ivy and Nneka’s cousin-in-law Lebe. Ultimately, Nneka said that Wendy’s mom submitted her name to a shrine.
To no one’s surprise, there appears to be more to the story. Nneka just chatted with Page Six about her unusual feud with Wendy, and she claimed that the plot against her goes deeper than what we originally knew. According to the RHOP newbie, Wendy and her sister had a whole takedown planned for Season 8.
The plot thickens
During Nneka’s interview with the outlet, she elaborated on the series of phone calls that went down between Wendy, Ivy, and Lebe before Season 8. She said that upon learning of her involvement in RHOP, Wendy and her sister devised a plan to try to “embarrass her on national television.”
Nneka said the sisters called Lebe and talked about wanting to “ambush” Nneka during her rookie season. Lebe allegedly begged the sisters to back off, and then Wendy’s mom got involved. She said the final phone call between the families was when Wendy’s mom mentioned the prayer shrine.
“I was literally terrified when I received that phone call [from Lebe] of what was done to my name, you know? Submitting someone’s name to a shrine is for death and destruction,” Nneka shared. “So to learn that they thought this scenario was serious enough to do that? I am afraid.”
Wendy has vehemently denied that her family tried to bring any harm to Nneka. In the latest episode of RHOP, Wendy admitted that her mom does have shrines. However, she clarified that they’re devout Catholics and there was nothing malicious or spooky happening. Meanwhile, Nneka is adamant that this entire feud boils down to one thing: jealousy.
Nneka explained, “Like I said, things that happened prior to the cameras showing up kind of led me to that conclusion, [which were] consistent with the things that she did while the cameras were rolling. So ultimately, she didn’t want me there. And you know, it’s not her decision. God has blessed me, and here I am.”
