Taylor Armstrong made Real Housewives history for being the first cast member to cross over between shows. She was an original member of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2010, and stayed on the show until 2013.
Taylor’s daughter Kennedy Armstrong celebrated her fourth birthday on Season 1 with a lavish party that drew criticism for its price tag. Just for clarity, the Mad Hatter Tea Party cost five-figures. The family withdrew from the series in 2013.
Fast-forward to the recent season of the Real Housewives of Orange County, and Taylor is back in a new atmosphere. But Kennedy has not participated this time around. And her mother’s comments at a recent event indicates that Kennedy has no interest in Real Housewives, past or present.
Taylor recalled her time on RHOBH
The reality TV star revealed that her now 17-year-old daughter doesn’t follow her career. Taylor spoke with The Messenger at Patrick Carroll’s Kickz for Kids event in Los Angeles on Thursday, Nov. 16.
Taylor fondly spoke of the infamous party she threw for her daughter that set tongues wagging. She speculated that $50,000 wouldn’t make such an impact in today’s inflated prices.
“Kennedy was turning four. It’s funny. Back then, people were like, ‘A $50,000 party?!’ And it was a big deal. Now they’d be like, ‘Oh, poor little girl!’ It [would be] like nothing these days,” she said.
Perhaps Kennedy could find some amusement in reliving that time in her life. But surprisingly, she doesn’t watch the footage from Taylor’s time on RHOBH.
“But no, she doesn’t [re-watch old episodes]. Kennedy is 17 and is so filled with her own style, she couldn’t care less about [it], frankly,” Taylor revealed.
Meanwhile, Taylor took on a lot of drama from Season 17 of RHOC. Mainly for squaring up to Heather Dubrow. Professionally, anyway.
