Super Thief Who Targeted PK and Dorit Kemsley’s Home for $2.5 Million Robbery Sentenced to 31 Years in Prison

Justice has been served for at least one of Dorit Kemsley and Paul “PK” Kemsley’s robberies.

Back in 2018, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars had $2.5 million worth of luxury items stolen from their home by Benjamin Ackerman. He pretended to be a real estate agent and targeted a handful of luxury homes in Los Angeles. This month, he had his sentencing, and the judge threw the book at him. Daily Mail reported all of the details.

Benjamin, along with his co-conspirator, Jason Yaselli pretended to be real estate agents and nabbed at least $5.5 million in stolen goods between December 2016 and July 2018. They targeted other celebrities like Usher and Adam Lambert, but Dorit and PK got hit the hardest. The thesis stole over 150 luxury items, totaling $2.5 million. They got away with bags, jewelry, art, and anything else they could get their hands on.

To be clear, this isn’t the same robbery Dorit discussed on RHOBH when she had $10,000 in cash stolen. Nor was this the incident when armed robbers attacked her in her home. This particular caper happened in 2018 when Dorit and PK were traveling. Somehow, the thieves knew exactly when they’d be gone and found the perfect time to strike.

According to the court documents, the thieves posed as real estate agents and would use online listings and open houses to stake out their targets. When it was time to strike, they went as far as to tamper with surveillance cameras, like true criminal masterminds.

Benjamin was first arrested back in 2019, and they found over 2,000 stolen items stashed away. He just had his day in court, and the judge sentenced him to 31 years behind bars. So, the wealthy Los Angelenos can sleep well tonight knowing that at least one robber is off the streets.

TELL US – ARE YOU SURPRISED THAT JUSTICE WAS SERVED IN THIS CASE? DO YOU THINK THE OTHER ROBBERS WHO TARGETED PK AND DORIT WILL HAVE A DAY IN COURT?
