Real Housewives of New Jersey fans rejoice! Season 12 is finally here and well, it’s a wild one. Straight out of the gate, thanks to Margaret Josephs. Let’s just say that Marge is putting in the work this season. But this drama happens to revolve around Melissa Gorga, who has spent years bringing nothing to the table but feuds with sister-in-law Teresa Giudice. And while Teresa is the main target this year, thanks to her relationship with Luis “Louie” Ruelas, Melissa finally got her hands dirty.
As promised in the trailer, things with Melissa and castmate Jennifer Aydin get a little too heated. Now Melissa is telling E! News what really went down between them. Of their physical altercation, Melissa started, “I got up and I was trying to…sometimes we’re passionate over here in Jersey. And when we need to express ourselves, I have to get out of my seat—not put my hands on anyone—just get out of your seat to prove a point.” Is no one else passionate outside of New Jersey? Or does she just mean the franchise as a whole? Anyway.
She continued about what was seen in the trailer, “And then you saw it, she grabbed my hand. And you guys will see what happens from there.” Melissa does feel some sense of guilt about how it went down though. She added, “I do not like that. I’m not down with any of that. I’m not into touching each other. You can use your words, right?” Or cheese platters, I guess.
When asked Melissa if Jennifer is spiraling this season because she’s trying to keep the facade of a happy marriage and life, Melissa agreed. She responded, “I think that you’re probably hitting the nail right on the head, if you ask me.” Melissa explained, “I mean, everyone has their own opinion. But I think she was holding, saving face for a while…I think the house is starting to—you know, the windows are getting cleaned, and we can see inside a little bit. And I think she’s stressed and panicking and acting up and you know, just losing it. There’s a lot of crying out of her this season.”
