Eboni K. Williams Will Compete In A New Survivor-Inspired Reality Show, Beyond The Edge

The Real Housewives of New York City may not be coming back anytime soon, but for all of those Eboni K. Williams fans out there, you won’t have to wait much longer before she’s back on our screens. But this time around, instead of partying it up in the Hamptons and dodging microaggressions left and right, she’ll be competing in a competition show, inspired by Survivor, facing off against other celebrities in a series of challenges. I’m not sure which is scarier.

TMZ first broke the news about this upcoming competition series. Filmed in Panama earlier this year, it’s expected to air on CBS in April 2022. The show is reportedly like Survivor, but with celebrities. If you’re thinking, “Hasn’t that already been done before?” You’re right. It basically sounds like the same premise as the show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! That series has been popular in the UK for years, attracting numerous reality stars to its cast, but the US version failed to take off.

This time around, CBS is hoping for a hit, and they’ve recruited a wide range of celebrities to participate, from reality stars to professional sports players. In addition to RHONY’s Eboni K. Williams, The Bachelor’s Colton Underwood is rumored to be a part of the cast, plus Jodie Sweetin from Full House and former NBA star Metta World Peace. CBS hasn’t made an official announcement about the series, so we’ll have to wait and see who else is part of the cast. But the fact that we’ll see Eboni competing on a reality show against Stephanie Tanner is pretty wild.

According to a report from Variety, the new show is titled Beyond the Edge. One of the production companies involved is also responsible for popular shows like Naked and Afraid and The Surreal LifeSo, they know what they’re doing when it comes to creating memorable reality TV! If the show is a hit, surely other Housewives will follow in Eboni’s footsteps and compete, similar to how we’ve seen a handful of them lose on Dancing With The Stars over the years.

TELL US – ARE YOU SURPRISED TO HEAR THAT EBONI IS JOINING THIS TYPE OF SHOW? WHAT OTHER HOUSEWIVES WOULD YOU WANT TO SEE IN A SURVIVOR-LIKE COMPETITION?
