Kim Kardashian and her uber-famous family always find ways to keep their names in our mouths. It’s why they’re the reality TV pioneers — Kimmy went from being Paris Hilton’s BFF/assistant to becoming arguably the most famous woman in the world and bringing her family along for the ride. She’s gone through many phases, whether it’s her style evolution or her seemingly endless business ventures. And while the fam said goodbye to Keeping Up With The Kardashians after 20 seasons, they’re preparing to go on another TV endeavor, and have plenty of drama to showcase.
A major moment happening in Kimmy’s life is her divorce from Kanye West, the father of her four babies. Kanye apparently is not into the split, hoping that God (or Kris Jenner, for that matter) will bring them back together. However, Kim seems to have moved on, and may or may not be dating SNL star, Pete Davidson. But in the meantime, Kim was just honored at the People’s Choice Awards with the Fashion Icon Award. And made everyone even more confused about her relationship status during her acceptance speech, according to Us Weekly.

During her speech, Kimmy talked about going from a closet organizer to winning the award, which she calls a “pinch-me moment.” She went on to thank a bunch of designers who have worked with her, including Zac Posen, Ricardo Tisci, and Olivier Rousteing, who “believed in” her. “Well, [they] probably [were] talked into it by getting a call from Kanye,” she added. Oh boy.
Kimmy went on to thank Kanye outright in her speech. “So thank you to Kanye even for really introducing me to the fashion world,” Kim said. “I fell in love with fashion. This is a dream that I get to wake up and wear these amazing clothes and try new things, take a risk. I’m so humbled.” Kim is an icon, there’s no doubt about that. But I do wonder if this nod was Kim being the bigger person and honoring her former partner or a hint that Kimye is far from over. Regardless, it’s sure to be messy and featured heavily on the upcoming Hulu show.
