It feels like forever since we’ve heard any news about Love is Blind. A year ago, we were told that the Netflix series was renewed for two more seasons. But so far, we’ve got nothing and I’m itching for a new season because this show was insane. To refresh, contestants spent time in different pods talking to potential partners about seriously personal things. Some even formed deep connections, but the only way couples could meet each other face to face was if they got engaged. And you know, quick engagements – to people you’ve never seen – are bound to last!
Obviously, the show helped create some unhealthy relationships and hot mess individuals. Who could forget Mark Cuevas and Jessica Batten? Mark may or may not have had a girlfriend while filming, and Jessica, well she loved wine. And so did her dog. Then there were Giannina Gibelli and Damian Powers – who almost made it down the aisle. It doesn’t seem like either regret not taking the plunge. Two couples however got married during the first season: Amber Pike and Matt Barnett, and Cameron Hamilton and Lauren Speed. Wonder what they’re up to?
Well wonder no more, because Entertainment Tonight reports that Netflix just announced a spin-off. The streaming service, “will launch three episodes that follow the lives of all the fan favorites from season 1.” The special is called Love Is Blind: After the Altar, and it will have “cameras follow the Atlanta-based singles and couples once again, this time as they gear up for a two-year anniversary party,” for Cameron and Lauren, and Barnett and Amber.
Since the spin-off isn’t just focused on couples, we’ll see everyone, including Diamond Jack who, “has a handsome new beau to introduce to her colleagues.” Plus, according to the “first teaser for After the Altar, it’s clear that a lot has happened since filming wrapped on Love Is Blind,” and “judging from Amber’s eye rolls, we’re going to guess even more drama may unfold between her and Jessica…”

Jessica even talks in the trailer about how her life blew apart after filming the show. She also opens up about how Mark, “had been fooling [her] the entire time.” When Barnett is asked if he’s looking forward to seeing her, he says, “next question.” So, overall, it looks like there will be some of the same drama playing out two years later.
Netflix will premier Love Is Blind: After the Altar on July 28.
