The romance that no one saw coming is still a hot topic for Real Housewives of Atlanta viewers. In May of 2021, Porsha Williams confirmed that she was in a relationship with Simon Guobadia. He is RHOA cast member Falynn Guobadia’s recent ex-husband. In fact, Porsha brought Falynn on to the franchise. Oh, and Simon is also friends with Porsha’s baby daddy, Dennis McKinley.
Porsha shared the news on Instagram. “Our relationship began a month ago–yes we are crazy in love. I know it’s fast, but we are living life each day to its fullest,” she wrote. Porsha continued, “For all of you that need facts, I get the optics but Simon filed for divorce from a previous marriage in January. I had nothing to do with their divorce filing,” she added. “That’s between the two of them. Falynn and I are not friends, and Simon’s divorce has been settled.”
Apparently, Porsha might be a little bit hazy on the details. On May 11, 2021, Falynn issued a statement. “I am focusing on finalizing my divorce and healing. Sending positivity to all of you,” Falynn wrote. A screenshot of some of their divorce documents was posted on Twitter. They showed that the couple filed for divorce in mid-February.
Simon confirmed his engagement to Porsha on Instagram. Porsha’s enormous ring is reportedly worth somewhere between $500,000 to $1.25 million.
Andy Cohen recently commented on Porsha’s engagement. “I think it’s wild, man. I’m staying tuned,” Andy said. “I can’t wait to find out more.” We also know that Porsha’s bestie, Shamea Morton, deserves the blame credit for playing matchmaker.

Of course, Porsha is planning on having three weddings. Porsha explained, “He’s African so we will have our native law and custom ceremony and a regular wedding, and then we’ll have another wedding at one of the houses that are out of the country.” At least Porsha isn’t going overboard and planning some ridiculous over-the-top ceremonies. And the bride-to-be isn’t ruling out a Bravo wedding. Yay?
Reality Blurb reported that Andy addressed his thoughts about Porsha’s quickie engagement on Instagram Live. When one fan asked Andy what he thought of Porsha and Simon’s romance, Andy replied that he doesn’t know much. I find that hard to believe. He probably has visions of Porsha’s extravagant Bravo wedding dancing in his head.
Andy remarked, “All I know is I texted her right when I heard the news. I said, ‘I’m so excited for you,’ and all that stuff.” That’s pretty standard operating procedure.

“I just think Porsha loves being in love,” Andy shared. “You know, she gets carried away by a moment… [But] we don’t actually know any of the specifics of this situation so we cannot judge.” He added, “We just have to let all the facts roll out.” Oh, and then we can judge? Good to know.
Another fan asked Andy if he was the one who was behind the surprise romance. “Oh no, I don’t cook up love affairs for people,” Andy replied. I’m sure that he is doing a happy dance about this messy drama playing out next season on RHOA. Same here, Andy.
