Luann de Lesseps, much like her OG counterpart Ramona Singer, has seemingly aged backwards throughout every season of the Real Housewives of New York. She’s tall, dark and fabulous, which is a great combination for an over-the-top housewife. Whether she’s telling people they’re “uncool,” complaining about the “lower-level” or flirting with the nearest pirate, Lu’s a treasure to behold. She always brings it to RHONY year after year, and looks great doing it.
Lu has gone through quite a lot in the past few years. She got married and divorced from Tom D’Agostino, only to move into a new apartment right next door to him. She had a new man for a minute, but now she’s single again, and single Lu is always a good time. And she’s going sober so far on Season 13 alongside Leah McSweeney. Oh, did I mention she’s also included on the Real Housewives All-Stars spinoff? She’s truly an icon who’s shown a lot of growth throughout her time on the show. She even got a tattoo, like who is this new Lu?
And everyone who follows her on Instagram knows the Countess has a rockin’ figure. So it’s no surprise when Lu was asked on Behind the Velvet Rope With David Yontef if she would do Playboy, she said “100%.” “You know it’s so funny because I would do it,” she said.
Lu said, “You know if they would ‘ We’re gonna Housewives this year,’ I would totally sign up for that, as long as it’s done tastefully and elegantly.” Once a Countess, always a Countess. And since starting her cabaret career, she’s learned the art of being sexy in front of an audience. So why not in front of the camera?

In the most Lu quote of all time, she also said, “Because money can’t buy you class, but can buy you Playboy.” She’s such an icon and honestly good for her. If she were to appear in the magazine, there’s no doubt she’d find some way to include Jovani in it just to piss off Dorinda Medley. She would join the likes of Lisa Rinna, Denise Richards, Kelly Bensimon and Camille Grammer as housewives who aren’t afraid to be Playboy bunnies for a day.
