The Twirl is back and twice as fabulous! Kenya Moore has returned to The Real Housewives of Atlanta and is wasting no time coming for Nene Leakes.
In a new interview, the RHOA star threw shade left and right at her frenemy — at this point it may be safe to call Nene her downright nemesis — and gave her unfiltered thoughts on why the OG can’t seem to keep a friend on the show, including one-time “sister” Cynthia Bailey.
“I don’t have a relationship with Nene,” Kenya told E! News. “I don’t think that she has a true friendship with anyone on the show. And I think it’s unfortunate that Cynthia is no longer her friend, because Cynthia was a great friend to Nene.”
Of course, Kenya is referring to the drama between her two castmates at the end of Season 11, sparked ironically by her surprise appearance at Cynthia‘s season-ending party for Bailey Wine Cellar. In the middle of some inexplicable social media beef with her frenemy at the time, Nene didn’t take kindly to Cynthia’s failing to give her a heads-up that Kenya would be making a cameo at the party for Bravo’s cameras. Cynthia maintained she didn’t know Kenya was coming, Nene referred to a then-pregnant Kenya as a water buffalo and the entire ordeal spiraled into accusations of betrayal at the Season 11 reunion.

Now that her peach is back in hand, Kenya maintained to E! News that out of all the Housewives, Nene “causes the most unnecessary drama” this season.
“I think she’s completely focused on taking Cynthia down,” the RHOA star dished. “You will you see that there’s a lot of talk about snakes, people who double-cross people, people who aren’t really friends who say they’re your friends, and all of those things will be revealed in Season 12.”

As for whether her friendship with Nene could ever be salvaged, Kenya remained cryptic while managing to sneak some pointed shade into her answer.
“I’m a person who never says never and I strongly believe that, you know, I’m a very forgiving person as well,” she concluded. “But I think…I just certainly been around long enough to know who my real friends are and who the real, genuine personalities are on the show, and I choose to be friends with them.”
