Someone tell me why Marlo Hampton never held a peach on Real Housewives of Atlanta. She’s always stirring up drama. She brings it with the fashion. The woman couldn’t be boring if she tried. And then, we have Cynthia Bailey, Eva Marcille, and Kandi Burruss, women who very rarely have a storyline outside of self-promotion. Listen, I totally get it, they are likable people, but they don’t usually bring the drama.
Marlo is just such a mystery too. It is still so unclear how she earns money to fund her seemingly luxurious lifestyle. Well, now, Marlo has another old man Uncle Sam hitting her up. She, just like many reality TV star before her, has some pressing tax issues.
According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, Marlo was hit with a Federal Tax Lien from the IRS. She owes back taxes from 2017. Marlo is in debt for $13,418.55, which is the same price as one of those designer purses she always has.
But seriously though, in regard to reality TV tax issues, $13,000 isn’t too bad in comparison to some of the others. She’s also not the first RHOA cast member to have tax problems, especially recently. Cynthia’s ex-husband Peter Thomas shut down his bar because he was short $237,000. Kenya Moore’s soon-to-be-ex-husband Marc Daly owed $100,000 t0 the government. He later claimed that this report was based on false information. Sure. Porsha Williams just paid off $28,000 in back taxes. Good for her. Hopefully that’s the last of her money concerns. Oh, wait.

And on the other side of the country, Lala Kent’s fiance Randall Emmett paid off $1 million dollar loan to 50 Cent. Obviously, it’s not great that Marlo owes $13K, but I’m just saying it can be worse. If she really needs the cash, I’m sure she can sell some of her designer stuff or just post some Instagram ads.
However she decides to get that money, she better do it ASAP. The IRS warned Marlo to pay off her debt in full, otherwise they will start seizing her assets and property. Truthfully, I’m so curious about her finances and would love to know what assets and property she actually has. This woman is truly such a mystery. Maybe her ally BFF NeNe Leakes can loan her some cash.
