Dorinda Medley Parts Ways With Jovani; Says Luann de Lesseps Can Have It

Thank you Jovani.  It’s the end of a beautiful collaboration.  Dorinda Medley is parting ways with the New York based designer after many years of wearing the brand’s dresses and jumpsuits.

Jovani became a household name after Real Housewives of New York fans witnessed Dorinda continuously heckle Luann de Lesseps mid-performance.  Dorinda felt she didn’t get the due credit for introducing Luann to the brand.  Luann chose Jovani to wear to her cabaret shows without publicly thanking Dorinda.  That’s what started the feud.  Now, it seems Dorinda is ready to put an end to it.

Dorinda spoke to Page Six from the Sirius XM studios.  Dorinda suggests maybe it was time to update her look. She said, “they’re great, but I hope people think about my look being more evolved than that.”

Maybe Jovani served its purpose in a bygone era.  Dorinda said, “I used to wear it years ago when I went a lot to Washington with my late husband because I went to a lot of these sort of embassy, formal [affairs]. [It’s] something that I didn’t want to particularly own, but it was great for a night.”

Meanwhile, Luann has laid claim to Jovani.  Her cabaret star has risen very high.  She says, “it works really well with me for my cabaret shows; everything fits me like a glove. I don’t have to change anything. I don’t have to hem anything. The fit is perfect, like it was made for me.”

Luann is also working on a collection of jewelry to wear with the dresses for her cabaret show.  In typical Luann style, those baubles are huge.  She does love her statement necklaces.

Dorinda is ready to pass on the Jovani torch and make peace.  Her message for Luann is, “let her have it.”
