On last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After, several couples seemed to be hoping for a break from one another. But all signs point to break up in the future at the rate they are going. Ashley Martson surprised her husband Jay Smith with a girl’s trip to NYC. In her mind, she doesn’t need his approval to go anywhere so letting him know last minute is a courtesy. Wow… last time I checked spouses actually discuss their plans. Pedro Jimeno was counting down the days to leave his wife, Chantel Everett. When Chantel communicated that she doesn’t want to be alone for too long, he reminded her she will have her cat. Is Pedro ready for an extended vacation or a divorce?
Elizabeth Potthast visited her sister, Jen’s home to vent about the situation she created. Last week, she and her husband were being ungrateful spoiled brats when her dad requested they do more to get on their feet. I find it funny that Elizabeth was down to drag her dad with her husband UNTIL Andrei Castravet demanded they leave their comfy home. He wants to go somewhere, he can afford, which is nowhere, because he doesn’t have a job. Does Andrei not have basic math skills? You moved into the free rental house because you were broke, no free house equals even more broke!
Elizabeth (Tampa, FL) & Andrei (Moldova)
Now all of a sudden, Elizabeth is looking for someone to have sympathy for her. Well, she came to the wrong place. Her sister basically tells her what we all are thinking while watching these ingrates. Nothing in life is free and she should be thankful her dad is helping them! Elizabeth doesn’t want to rock the boat with her husband. She decides she will have no other choice but to move. But in order to do so, she has to ask her father for the deposit on her new place. Huh??

Your husband demands you move because he no longer wants help from your father. But you have to ask him for help to be independent? Is this an alternate universe? Or is this insane? This, ladies and gentlemen, is why we must teach our children basic life skills. Elizabeth literally has had everything handed to her, money, a house, and a job as an adult. Then has the nerve to think it’s normal for her family to take care of her jobless husband and baby. Wow. Can someone splash the cold water of reality in her face? I can’t wait for Andrei to find out how she financed their new independence behind his back.
Elizabeth calls her dad and informs him that they will be moving out of his house. Her father (and the rest of the world) feels that they don’t appreciate his generosity. After Andrei didn’t do any of the home improvements he promised as repayment, she had the nerve to ask for more help on their new apartment. Okay, so let me get this straight, they don’t appreciate the free house, but you agree to help them PAY for another. WTF! Here is where I have to blame the dad.

Elizabeth and her Andrei are ungrateful and delusional because they are allowed to be that way. I would have told them to stay at my house rent free or figure out a way to pay for their own place. This is absolutely ridiculous! I wouldn’t pay for adults to not take responsibility for their lives on my dime.
Andrei goes to a job interview for a trucking position. He learns that he doesn’t enough experience for full-time work. The interviewer is willing to put Andrei on a roster for on-call work, but he doesn’t seem happy with that offer. Apparently, the potential to go from $0 to $1,000 a week while he gains more experience isn’t appealing to him.
Elizabeth and Andrei go shopping for baby items in a secondhand store to save money. Andrei doesn’t like the thought of “used” and “dirty” items. People who like new items, also like jobs. He tells Elizabeth about the interview and the on-call offer. But he has decided that he is no longer interested in trucking and wants to become a handyman. After investing money and time into Andrei’s trucking license, she is livid.

Who knew her macho Moldavian was so lazy and lackadaisical about money? His big plan is to run an ad for his handyman services and hope he is able to get consistent work. Yea, sure that will work… Is this the same man who sat in Elizabeth’s father house and didn’t do any of the home improvements that he promised to do when he moved in? SMH… Whew chile, the delusion is REAL!
Colt (Las Vegas, Nevada) & his mom Debbie Larissa (Brazil)
Larissa Dos Santos Lima and Colt Johnson go on their first date after the infamous trial was dismissed. I guess Larissa won when he pulled straws for whom to take out between his mother and wife. Colt wants to get to a place of respect with his bride and mother. Larissa is more interested in how much money she can pilfer from him. She wants to have a monthly allowance so she can buy things like a Chanel bag. When Colt denies her initial $1,000 a month request she settles for two hundred dollars. She then pats herself on the back for being a good negotiator. Larissa, girl, you literally dropped the price by 80% in two minutes. I guess something is better than nothing. At this rate, you will have this year’s latest bag in a few years.

In an attempt to look more like a blow-up doll for Colt-E, Larissa wants lip injections. Somehow she convinces Colt to pay almost $500 for the fillers. Honestly, after seeing the woman completing the procedure, I would have backed out. But, Larissa is desperate to get her sexy pout in order to continue to fulfill her wifely torture duties.

Nicole (Bradenton, Florida) & Azan (Morocco)
Nicole Nafziger meets with her friend to discuss her mess of a life. After meeting Azan Tefou, she now has even LESS than she did beforehand. Nicole went from having an apartment, job, and a car to now living with her siblings and owning virtually nothing of her own. Her friend asks for more details about Azan’s infidelity. Nicole denies there was any physical contact, but refuses to go more in depth about what truly happened. She wants to focus on their upcoming trip to Grenada and the positives in their relationship. Sigh… There is no hope for this one. We have to just let her go.
Pedro (Dominican Republic) & Chantel (Atlanta, GA)
Chantel comes home from work to find Pedro packing for his upcoming trip to the Dominican Republic. He still has not given her a timeline for his return and refuses to let his wife join him. Pedro claims his boss is okay with him going on vacation for an undetermined amount of time. Sure, that sounds believable. Once again, Chantel only thinks about herself. I understand her frustration, but I don’t understand how she is unable to have ANY empathy for how Pedro has been treated since he arrived. She continuously badgers him and allows everyone in her life to do so as well. Hell, if I was Pedro I would be running for the hills. If Chantel wants to stay married, she will keep her family out of her business for good.
Chantel tries to apologize to her husband for their argument the night before on the way to the airport. Pedro can’t get away from his wife fast enough. He only offers her a quick kiss before leaving. I want to feel bad for Chantel, but I don’t at this point. Maybe this separation will give her time to realize the Family Chantel isn’t acting in her best interest. Antagonizing a person constantly then wanting them to act as if nothing ever happened, isn’t normal or welcoming behavior.

Pedro finally arrives home to the Dominican Republic to find his peace with his family. His family inquires about the reasons why the Family Chantel, may not accept him. His mother seems to believe they have an air of superiority that doesn’t line up with the way they live. Chantel’s family is definitely over the top and appears to play up to the cameras all the time. Nonetheless, I do believe their disdain for Pedro is very real. To see a person give up all they know to pursue love, then be left to feel alone and abused is crazy to me.
Paola (Colombia) & Russ (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma)
Russ Mayfield meets with his parents to discuss his wife Paola Mayfield’s concerns the family. His parents want to try and mend their relationship, but realize it will require baby steps. Russ reveals he has a job offer and wants to try and convince his wife to move back to Oklahoma. Good luck, Russ. I highly doubt that will go over well with Paola. When is he going to finally accept that his wife wants nothing to do with a small town lifestyle?
Paola agrees to talk to Russ’ mom about their multitude of issues. It was interesting to see how both sides felt they weren’t accepted by the other. Russ’ mom was not happy with some of the modeling jobs she took and wants her to respect their family. Although their conversation was respectful and productive, there isn’t a chance in hell Paola will move back to Oklahoma, job offer or not.

Jay (Jamaica) & Ashley (Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania)
Ashley and Jay head to the gym where she reveals that she is going to NYC with friends. Unsurprisingly, Jay is not happy that she didn’t consult him before making this decision. When he asks if she would be okay if he went on a guy’s trip, her response was that he isn’t allowed to go on a trip because she doesn’t trust him. I am wondering if Jay is allowed to do anything but breathe at this point.
He is worried that her friends will try to convince her to do something to break them up. Ugh… Jay just ask TLC to send you back to Jamaica and spare us all this nonsense.

In other news I don’t care about, Ashley is in NYC with her friends still whining about her marriage. Are they not tired of hearing about the cheating scandal? I am. I understand being hurt, but I don’t understand using someone’s immigration status as a way to exert power over them. In an attempt to drag this on further, she calls the girl Jay was talking to on Tinder. Sis, if you didn’t talk to her when it initially happened, why are you bothering her now?
I am sure she has no desire to be a part of your shit show of a marriage. After going out with her ex and now an unplanned trip to NYC, Ashley is annoyed Jay hasn’t called her. What do you expect? For him to kiss your feet until you decide you are over it? She has nobody to blame but herself. Deal with it, Ashley!
