Brittany Cartwright Insists Jax Taylor Has Changed For The Better; They Want To Have Kids Right After They Get Married

New season, New Jax Taylor? Sure, the Vanderpump Rules viewers have seen him make self-improvement claims before, but is it different this time around? Jax’s fiancee Brittany Cartwright insists that he really is a better person.

Without a doubt, last season’s major storyline was Jax cheating on Brittany. After that, their relationship was very rocky. Ultimately, they came together after Jax’s father passed away. Brittany stepped up (yet again) to help his family out. Jax realized Brittany is “the one” and he proposed during the Season 7 premiere episode.

The couple discussed the proposal during last night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live. Brittany’s mom Sherri Cartwright weighed in on the proposal from the audience.

She told Andy Cohen, “I think it was awesome. I knew it was coming just a couple days before. I did tell him I wanted to be there at the time, but of course, he didn’t listen to me.” Apparently, this was the first time Jax heard about this. He responded, “Wait. You did?” Oh, Jax.

Brittany explained, “[the proposal] was perfect for us. I was glad it was just the two of us because we did have a party at the house after. ” Yeah, it was just the two of them and a full camera crew.

The future Mrs. Jason Cauchi Jax Taylor continued, “It was so special because it was a very great place that we had our first date on and his dad loved the place. It was perfect for us.” She insisted, “I don’t need a fancy restaurant. I just need something that we enjoy together and it was perfect for us.”

Of course, a lot has happened in between Season 6 and Season 7 that the viewers did not get to see. Brittany acknowledged, “Obviously, I know all of the fans and everything [aren’t] going to believe in our relationship, how happy we truly are, and how much he’s changed right away. I know this, but he has and everyone will see it.” Let’s hope so. Brittany deserves a new Jax.

A caller asked, “How much of a bitch do you think Katie [Maloney] was for saying it was too soon for you guys to get engaged on your engagement day?” Brittany hesitated at first. She let out an audible “Aaww. Ummm.”

Brittany admitted, “Honestly, I was upset to see that, but at the end of the day, I know my friends are trying to look out for me. They were worried for me over everything that happened last year. Also, I know that Katie is so happy for us now. She’s one of my very best friends. At the end of the day, I just have to remember the journey that we all took.”

Is Katie a close enough friend to be in Brittany’s bridal party? Brittany did not say. She did hint, “A lot of people from the show will be included.” Jax jumped in with, “But there are a lot of people who won’t be.”

Obviously, James Kennedy will not make the cut for their wedding party. He did a freestyle rap about Jax cheating on Brittany…while Brittany was in the room. He made her cry!

Brittany recalled, “I was there. I was supporting James because everybody was on good terms at the time.” She clarified, “He made it sound like he just said it once. It was that line and then repeated, repeated, repeated.”

She emphasized, “It wasn’t just that it was said once and I freaked out. It didn’t happen like that.”

Aside from picking the wedding party, Jax has been prepping for his wedding in other ways. A viewer asked, “What’s going on with Jax’s face? Is there something different or new?”

Brittany got defensive. She declared, “This makes me so mad. He’s done so well. He’s lost so much weight. He has worked so hard.” Jax revealed that he has lost 35 pounds.

Andy remarked, “You do look closer to early Jax.” He added, “Hopefully just in body only.” Then he caught himself and muttered, “Sorry.”

A viewer asked if they were using the “pray and spray” birth control method. Brittany’s first response? “My mom is here.” Jax revealed, “We are going to have kids right away.” She emphasized, “Right after we get married.”
