Oh how far we’ve come. Jax Taylor, the player, is long gone and now he’s getting ready to settle down and get married to Brittany Cartwright. Jax’s antics have shaped Vanderpump Rules and I will always be appreciative of those early episodes, but now we may get to see something we never expected Jax as a dad.
Not only is that on the horizon, but it just may be happening in the near future. I’m assuming that Jax and Brittany will film the wedding and wedding planning for Vanderpump Rules or a spin-off show, but I just hope the show is still on TV when they become parents. That is something I want to be part of…even if it’s just as an overly invested bystander who’s just watching their lives play out from the comfort of my own couch.
Jax tweeted, “I gotta be honest, I can’t wait to take my kids trick or treating and or stay home and pass out candy!! It’s the dream!! Very soon!!” That first part is so sweet, but it’s the last sentence that really stood out when I was scrolling through my Twitter feed- the part where he wrote “very soon.”

Last season, Brittany took a pregnancy test during the cast trip to Las Vegas. The test was negative, but before Jax knew that, he was actually on board with the idea of having a baby. At this point, it seems like they’re just focused on the wedding and promoting Season 7, but how soon is “very soon”?
Not that I have any role in these people’s lives, but I’m down for a spin off called Jax and Brittany Take On Parenthood or even Jax and Brittany’s journey to parenthood could be documented on Vanderpump Rules. What I’m really hoping for is that the cast members’ kids all become friends and we are eventually blessed with Vanderpump Rules: Next Generation. Obviously, I’m getting way ahead of myself here, but Jax has at least one supporter when it comes to his desire for fatherhood- even if it’s primarily because I think this would make for premium television footage.
