Jeff Lewis and his partner Gage Edward want the lawsuit from their surrogate to disappear, but the exact opposite is happening. Not only is the lawsuit against the Flipping Out stars moving forward to a jury trial, but Jeff’s request to seal the lawsuit from the public was denied by a judge.
For anyone out of the loop, the surrogate who carried and delivered Gage and Jeff’s daughter Monroe is suing the couple, Bravo, and the production company after footage of the birth was featured on an episode of Flipping Out. She contends that she did not agree to that and that she was told the birth was being filmed for home use only. It seems like a lot to take on reality TV stars, a production company, and a network, but this case is moving forward and she even has the delivery room doctor on her side.
The Blast obtained legal documents that confirm that the judge denied the request to keep the lawsuit private and that this dispute will go to a jury trial.
Delivery Room Doctor Backs Surrogate’s Story In Lawsuit Against Jeff Lewis
The trial is set to begin next year. Ironically enough, this would make for a very interesting storyline on Flipping Out, which has not yet been renewed for another season.
