Kate Gosselin appeared on the Today Show this morning for her first interview since filing for divorce from husband, Jon Gosselin, back in June. Kate spoke out on a lot of issues, including the reason she continues to wear her wedding ring and what she things of Jon’s many recent flings.
When asked about the fact that Jon has admitted to starting a relationship with 22 year old Hailey Glassman in May, well before the reality show couple’s June 22 divorce announcement, Kate said, “I was shocked.” She added: “It’s very hurtful. To be very honest the most hurtful part is when his decisions directly affect the children.”
Kate also denied a rumored affair with her bodyguard, Steve Neild, and attacked her brother who has criticized her publicly.
As for the reason she continues to wear her wedding ring, the Jon & Kate Plus 8 mom said she keeps the ring on to make the divorce transition easier for her children.
Kate said, “Sorry, I don’t want to upset them (the kids.) I don’t want to shock them.”
