For fans of Project Runway when it was an amazing show featuring talented and innovative designers — it’s back! Lifetime has announced Project Runway All Stars will premiere this January, featuring 13 of the show’s most memorable and talented designers!
The All Stars series will have new judges (nope, no Heidi Klum), cutthroat competition and plenty of fashion to judge and snark at! Angela Lindvall, Vogue covergirl extraordinaire will serve as hostess. The judging panel will also feature famous designers Issac Mizrahi (also of Bravo’s The Fashion Show) and Georgina Chapman (behind the celeb favorite line Marchesa). Marie Claire’s Editor-in-Chief Joanna Coles, who has made several appearances on Project Runway, the original, will be replacing Tim Gunn as the designer mentor.
Included in the cray-cray is a bevy of impressive guest judges from Miss Piggy, supermodel Miranda Kerr and musician and producer Pharrell Williams, among others!
The prizes are incredible! The winner receives an exclusive designer boutique in select Neiman Marcus locations and on the store’s website, $100,000 dollars from HP and Intel, $100,000 cash from L’Oreal Paris, a feature in Marie Claire Magazine plus a guest editor position at the magazine for one year, and a sewing and embroidery studio provided by Brother International. WOW! Well, at least we know these guys can sew a sleeve and insert a zipper!
