Tonight’s episode of Real Housewives Of Atlanta introduces new Housewife Kim Fields. Kim is peachy-keen to bring something different to Atlanta, but promises she’s no replacement for NeNe Leakes! Thank Goodness.
Kim has admitted that joining Real Housewives Of Atlanta was a culture shock, and with all the crazy unfolding this season she stepped in to steer these girls straight.
“I don’t know that I wanted to be the mother bear,” Kim laughs. “I think that I’ve always been a nurturing kind of person. I’ll be prepared with snacks and a towel if we’re going to the lake. I think it’s more just from that prepared kind of thing, or you know, voice of reason sometimes.”

“I don’t know if that’s my role… But in terms of fitting in, I’m honestly, still finding my way,” Kim admits of dealing with the complex dynamic of her castmates.
“It’s not like, um, it’s not like we were all alike right out of the gate, ” Kim tells ET. “When you really think about it, it’s over just a few months of time. People work on friendships for years.” Unless they’re on Real Housewives Of Atlanta – then they work on DESTROYING friendships for years!
“There’s some real moments where it’s been a revelation to me, because I’m tough, I’m scrappy,” adds Kim. “I ain’t gonna show my tail! I’m not gonna do that!”
One role Kim certainly won’t be filling is the vacancy left by NeNe’s departure. “I didn’t feel like there was any sense of trying to fill a void, and god in heaven knows I never looked at myself as any sort of replacement, not as a friend, not for a TV personality. NeNe Leakes is irreplaceable, so I don’t think that there’s any sense of, you know, trying to fill a void.”
On tonight’s episode Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks deal with unresolved issues when Kandi confronts Phaedra about owing Todd money and, as expected, the conversation does not go well. Kenya Moore seeks advice from Kim about taking Life Twirls On to the next level, meanwhile Cynthia Bailey continues to struggle with her embarrassment after Peter’s viral cheating video. And Porsha Williams introduces her new man-child to friends and family.
