Last year around this time, we were all reading the spoilers and gearing up for Chris Soules’ stint on The Bachelor (can you believe it’s been that long already?). Since then, Soules found love (or at least he thought he did), got engaged, broke it off, and has appeared on a quite few more reality televisions shows, such as Dancing With The Stars and Worst Cooks In America. Contrary to what you may think, Soules insists that he did not go on the show for any sort of celebrity fame.
Instead, Chris claims that everything just “fell on” him, and he is not about to do anymore reality or any other television for that matter. But more importantly, the hunky farmer also shared his best advice for upcoming new Bachelor star, Ben Higgins. So, as we all now wait for Ben Higgins’ season to begin, let’s hear what Soules had to say, it ought to be interesting, right?

I don’t know about you, but I am definitely ready to watch Ben Higgins search for love on The Bachelor in a few months, and hopefully, he has better luck than Chris Soules did. Despite not finding the love of his life (even though he did end up engaged, the couple have since broke it off), Soules did decide to share his best advice for the new star recently.
BACHELOR BUZZ! BECCA TILLEY AND AMBER JAMES JOIN BEN HIGGINS’ SEASON
“We talked a little bit and I was able to give him some advice. There were a lot of things, a lot of little details we talked about, but the main thing was just going with your gut. Be prepared for the unexpected. There’s really no way to truly prepare for what he’s about to go through,” Soules told Today recently. And going with his gut, Chris and Whitney called off their engagement after only a short time, but Soules say that they have remained very good friends.
Now, what about all of the critics who feel that Soules was simply fame hungry and never interested in love? According to Chris, the reality television gigs he has done, were “God’s plan” for him. He also dished that by doing reality television, he hopes to raise awareness to farming. “I don’t care about TV, I don’t care about the celebrity. That’s not what my goal in life is. I’ve been farming since I can remember and it’s always been something I’m just genuinely passionate about. And if you came out to my farm, you would see how excited I get when I’m there,” Soules added.
Oh, and just in case you’re wondering, Soules said he would never do The Bachelor again. Whew, now that is a relief, huh?
