Kim Kardashian‘s picture book, Selfish, hit book stores this week. And people actually went to Barnes & Noble in NYC on Tuesday to not only spend their money on the book of selfies but also to stand in line to meet the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star. Maybe it is just me, but I can think of funner ways to spend an afternoon, like get a colonoscopy or go to the dentist.
But I digress. Unfortunately for Kim, not everyone who showed up was a fan. A bunch of anit-fur activists posed as fans to confront Kim about her fur coats, fur bikinis, and so on. When the first protester approached Kim for a signature, he shouted, “I just want to say that you’re the most disgusting human being on this planet! Shame on you for supporting the fur industry!” And then more fake fans in the crowd yelled “Murderer!” and “Shame on you!” repeatedly.

Kim seemed unfazed and continued to sign books with her regularly scheduled fake smile and dead-eyed stare.
More quotes from the protesters:
“You need to stop wearing fur. It’s horrible. You’re a terrible person.”
“Can you make it out to all the animals that have been tortured and killed for you to wear a fur coat?”
“Fifty dead animals for one fur coat!”
“Kim, do you know how many animals are tortured and killed for your jackets? Do you know how many animals are skinned alive and anally electrocuted?”
Kim couldn’t care less about their anti-fur message. But, hey, she’s richer now since the protesters had to buy her book to approach her for a signature.
