I know y’all are waiting with baited breath for the new season of Sister Wives to premiere tonight on TLC. You’ve missed Kody Brown’s luscious locks, haven’t you? Admit it! Not to mention, there have been teasers galore about a new lady joining the Brown clan. Whoever could it be?
Spoiler alert: it’s me! Don’t I wish? I’d love to put Meri’s wet bar to actual use (seriously, why did she need that thing?) and take a crack at writing their family mission statement. Kidding! I wouldn’t last a day in that red clay cul-de-sac compound! So who could this mystery woman be?

Enstarz speculates that it isn’t a fifth wife, citing that Kody himself has often said he’s not taking on any more wives. The Brown patriarch once said, “I really don’t think so, that’s not in my stars. It’s a fair question, however I’m really, I talked earlier about how it is to have all my wives sort of say, ‘Hey I miss you, I feel like I’m getting cheated on time.’ We are good then, if nobody is really feeling like we have this huge abundance of time, I think we have met our capacity and we are going to stay with it the way it is.”
The site is guessing that it’s either a therapist, one of many mothers-in-law, or (my personal favorite) a surrogate! That last one would certainly cause some major drama and tension, wouldn’t it? If it’s a therapist, she certainly has her work cut out for her. Janelle seems to be on the verge of making a break from her fellow sister wives, and Robyn doesn’t seem to like people telling her she needs to work on certain aspects of her life. She’s perfect, you know.
If it’s a mother-in-law, prepare yourself for an overdose of Cracker Barrel shopping sprees and more family dance parties. The thought of it makes me cringe just thinking about it. Here’s hoping it’s a surrogate to give empty nester Meri the second child she’s always wanted. You know, now that I think about it, maybe the “new” woman is just Mariah. Perhaps she decided to go to a less expensive school and live at home.
I don’t know about you, but I’d be intrigued if one of Brady Williams’ wives defected to the Brown family…
