So, this whole new season of Basketball Wives: L.A. is really going to happen, isn't it? The Sister Govan are out (they've got their own gig now, y'all!), and Bambi is too busy hanging out with a certain member of the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta cast to rejoin the group. Thankfully, my three favorites, crizazy Jackie Christie, changling Draya Michele, and the beautiful Malaysia Pargo will be back, and they are going to be joined by two new ladies.
And speaking of new ladies, Basketball Wives creator Shaunie O'Neal isn't too thrilled with newbie Tasha Marbury. She's used to having people kiss her bum, so I think Shaunie's a bit thrown by the fact that Tasha doesn't seem to give a tiny toot about Nostrils or her posse of puppets.

As for the new cast members of the L.A. franchise, only the identity of one woman is known. According to the Global Grind, Brandi Maxiell is an actual basketball wife, as she's married to Orlando Magic forward Jason Maxiell. She's also an ovarian cancer survivor, the bestie of Malaysia (I'm starting to see a pattern here, are you?), and a stunning addition to the cast. While nothing is confirmed (natch), she's been seen recently filming shopping with Draya and Malaysia. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
While we're waiting, we will bide our time with the original BBW, because, man oh man is their hypocrisy hilarious! Shaunie is speaking out about how Tasha's sense of humor rubs her the wrong way. She finds it to be completely inappropriate.
Sister 2 Sister has the deets on one of Shaunie's recent interviews in which she is up at arms about Tasha's head-butting jokes. She says, “Well it definitely wasn’t funny and that’s not the only moment that it happens. Apparently Suzie actually thought it was funny. Tasha has a very different sense of humor. You’ll find her constantly saying ‘I was just joking’ and it tends to be inappropriate at times or bad timing.” Suzie Ketcham is never going to win with this crowd!
Shaunie continues, “I don’t know how Suzie should have dealt with it but it’s definitely not for giggles or to laugh at. It’s just not funny under any circumstance.”
I'll concede that the joke was terribly insensitive, and had it been directed at anyone other than Evelyn Lozada, we'd all likely be up in arms. However, I have to agree with Shaunie's shock to see Evelyn's therapist ask how she contributed to the encounter. Shaunie explains, “I was really shocked that the counselor did it. People really kind of blame her. At the end of the day it definitely doesn’t justify a head butt. I like Chad, I always have, I never had a problem with Chad but I was never around him like that. At the same time, Evelyn is my friend, I support her. I want her to be safe.”
Oh BBW, you never disappoint! TGIF!
TELL US-DO YOU THINK BRANDI MAXIELL WILL BE A GOOD ADDITION TO BBW: LA? DO YOU AGREE WITH SHAUNIE?
