I hate the reminders that our favorite reality stars are human just like us. We get so invested in their lives, that it is always sad when bad news strikes. Of course, for the family of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, it's the hardships that seem to make them stronger.
Mama June Shannon has been keeping fans updated on husband(?) Sugar Bear's condition as he's been in and out of the hospital several times in the past year. While she's always tackled his health with a bit of humor, now she's staying mum on what's wrong.
She does assure fans that Alana's dad is still enjoying family time with his girls, and the crew remains upbeat as their scratch n' sniff season premiere approaches.

Posting statuses on the show's Facebook page, June shares some unsettling news about Sugar Bear's health.
She writes, "Well we r all a lil nervous this am sugarbear is going to the neurologist hope we get a good report then headed to Stone mountain to see the laser show we haven't seen in about 9 yrs and can't wait til Sunday we r beach bound." By 'beach bound' she means Myrtle Beach, and I am cursing myself for having other plans this weekend. I could have met the Shannon-Thompsons and stalked Jenelle Evans in one fell swoop!
After visiting the neurologist, the family did not receive the news they had hoped. June updates, "Well we went to the doctor not a good report we will b headed to Jacksonville Florida in a few wks to get more results and c what the long term plan will b for sugarbear like I said I'm sorry right now don't want to share the diagnosis until we get all the information like we said b4 he is being and acting normal unless he has a episode.. so we r having fun as a family and yes we r still going on our meet and greets to myrtle beach and DC/Maryland and he will b with us…"
That doesn't sound good, but I am glad that Sugar Bear will be able to accompany his crew on their press tour. I am certainly sending prayers their way!
