Parenting one child can be challenging. Parenting several children? Even harder. Which is why parents are always finding hacks to make things easier. Tori Spelling shared one of her hacks for busy school mornings with her youngest son, Beau – dress him up in school clothes the night before to save time! Yikes.
The mom of five got candid about what it’s like with her youngest during a conversation with another 80’s star Debbie Gibson. The two gabbed about life with kids and everything in between.
Five more minutes in bed
“I’ve gotten so lazy with my youngest son because there’s so many that at night, I put him in his clothes for the next day,” Tori shared with the Electric Youth singer on her latest episode of Tori’s MisSPELLING podcast.
The former Beverly Hills, 90210 star laughed at herself and shared with her listeners that she’s even convinced Beau that “it’s cool” to do it with a little trick. Aw, convincing your kid to dress himself the night before because… why again? Is Tori working a new 9 to 5 gig we don’t know about?
“He has dinner and takes his bath,” she explained. “Then I’ll be like, hey dude, it will save an extra five minutes if we get dressed now and then you can sleep in later. And I can sleep in later wink wink.”
The actress asked Debbie if she was a bad mom. Debbie reassured her that she was just “getting through it,” like every other mom and dad out there looking for ways to make it through the days.
Tori also clarified that she doesn’t dress up Beau for school in the evenings every day. It’s just once in a while.
Beau is Tori’s youngest son and the youngest of five kids she shares with her ex-husband Dean McDermott. The couple divorced in June 2023 but remain on good terms. Beau just completed kindergarten and is embarking on the first grade and Tori couldn’t be prouder.
She shared a sweet snap of him on social media with the caption, “Beau Beau is officially a 1st grader! Yesterday he had his end-of-the-year kindergarten party at school. So proud of this kid!”
