The Bachelorette Season 21 is almost over and leading lady Jenn Tran has had quite the season. Jenn made history as the first Asian American Bachelorette and her love story has been fun to watch. Despite a few bumps in the road, including her ex surprising her in New Zealand, Jenn still formed several strong connections. After a long journey, Jenn has narrowed the final two down to Devin Strader and Marcus Shoberg.
Jenn’s season has been quite unpredictable, so it’s hard to guess exactly how it will end. To make things even more complicated, Bachelor Nation has teased an ending that has never happened before. Jenn has strong connections with both Devin and Marcus and at this point, it could go either way. But what could this out-of-the-blue finale be? Marcus Shoberg may self-eliminate
It’s safe to say that Bachelor Nation was shocked when Jenn gave a rose to Marcus over Jonathan Johnson. During their fantasy suite week date, Jenn and Marcus struggled to get on the same page. It was evident that Marcus felt uncertain about the process and he even expressed to Jenn that he was unsure about her. Jenn, on the other hand, decided to use the moment to tell Marcus that she loved him. Despite the discrepancies, Jenn and Marcus decided to spend the night together.
While Marcus did accept a rose from Jenn, it’s clear that he’s nowhere near ready for an engagement. Jenn wants to get engaged, so it seems unlikely that she will choose Marcus in the end. However, it’s also possible that Marcus could self-eliminate before Jenn even has the chance to make her decision. When contestants are as unsure as Marcus, it’s not uncommon for them to send themselves home.
Devin Strader will probably win The Bachelorette
While things aren’t looking good for Marcus, they are looking positive for Devin. Devin had a rough start during fantasy suite week, after telling Jenn he loved her in his hometown. Throughout their entire overnight date, Devin waited to hear the words back from Jenn but got nothing in return. He left the date confused but decided that he needed clarity from Jenn before the rose ceremony.
After explaining his feelings to Jenn, Devin finally heard what he had been waiting for. Jenn confessed that she was in love with Devin, but admitted that she had a hard time expressing her feelings. At the rose ceremony, Devin received the first rose to the surprise of almost no one. It’s clear that Jenn and Devin have a strong bond and that they are very much in love. When it comes down to Devin and Marcus, Jenn will likely choose Devin since his feelings are much further along than Marcus’s.
Will Jenn Tran propose to Devin?
Bachelor Nation is notorious for teasing unprecedented endings, but Jenn’s may truly be one we have never seen. At first, it seemed like producers may have been hinting at Jenn not choosing anyone. However, this probably won’t be the case. Jenn is in love with both of her final two men and it wouldn’t make sense for her to abandon her journey for love entirely. Furthermore, the ending likely won’t be Jenn leaving with someone but not engaged, as this has happened before.
While it’s too early to say for sure, Jenn’s unprecedented ending could be her proposing herself. Throughout the season, Jenn has emphasized wanting to have control over the process. There’s no better way for her to do this than to break the stereotype and propose, which would be a historic moment for the franchise.
Since it seems like Devin will be the last man standing, Jenn may propose to him. In the trailer for the finale, Jenn is shown telling one of the men that she can’t let him propose to her. The man is significantly taller than her, suggesting that it’s Devin rather than Marcus. Regardless of how Jenn’s season ends, her finale is sure to be one for the books!
