Gina Kirschenheiter has been in the midst of all the drama this season of Real Housewives of Orange County. Thankfully, she’s not fighting as many battles as, say, Shannon Beador, but Gina’s going through it. Whether it’s her relationship problems or uncomfortable dynamics in her friend group, Gina came on Season 18 to play.
Gina has always had an anchor on RHOC, and we’re not talking about her questionable hairstyles (we still love you Gina). She and Emily Simpson have been a duo since they joined the franchise. Emily and Gina are two besties who always have each other’s backs. But during the group’s recent trip to La Quinta, some underlying tension between the two totally boiled over. However, Gina doesn’t seem to be worried about the future of her friendship with Emily.
Gina Kirschenheiter thinks it’s healthy to fight
Gina spoke to popculture.com about the latest RHOC season and, specifically, her feud with Emily. “As much as it’s uncomfortable to watch, I also think it’s kind of cool to watch because at the end of the day, we really are very close friends,” Gina said. “She’s literally like my sister and friends fight.”
Amidst all of the toxicity on RHOC Season 18, Gina thinks it’s “cool and healthy” to see a normal fight between friends. ‘Sometimes, we’re getting to this place where it’s like if you get in a fight with anybody, it goes from zero to 200 very quickly and oftentimes there’s no coming back from it,” she said. “I’m just not as comfortable even being around that or being involved in it. I want to see more fun.” We have to say, Gina has a point here. We all watch Real Housewives for the mess, but sometimes, it does reach a new level of vitriol that feels tough to come back from.
