Arguably, the Real Housewives of Miami has been one of the most popular Bravo franchises. Even when it was put on hiatus, it came back with a vengeance after fans pleaded for years. After a successful Season 6, which showed Lisa Hochstein going through her divorce, Larsa Pippen in love, and Alexia Nepola navigating a big move, I can’t help but wonder why RHOM still isn’t filming. The answer remains a mystery, but so much is happening in the 305.
Julia Lemigova adopted two sons
Last week, it was confirmed that Julia Lemigova and Martina Navratilova had expanded their family and adopted two boys. The model and tennis star confirmed to Bravo, “We are over the moon recognizing the challenges and the rewards for everybody.” Julia has yet to reveal the ages or names of her two new sons. The farmer is already a mother to two daughters who have appeared in the series.
Fans will recall Julia had been wanting to adopt badly after the loss of her own son. But just when the couple started to actively talk about having more children, Martina was diagnosed with cancer. During Season 5, Julia shared her plans with her costars, saying, “We’re going to adopt a baby. If tomorrow they called me to say there was a little boy who needs a home, I mean, I would just collapse on the floor and die.” With cameras down, fans are worried they won’t get to see Julia’s dream play out.
Marcus Jordan’s ‘wild partyin’
Season 6 was almost made insufferable by Marcus Jordan and Larsa’s love story. It was already odd that she was dating Michael Jordan’s son after being married to his teammate Scottie Pippen. But something seemed off about the couple. Paparazzi recently busted Marcus as he was caught appearing to snort white powder while in the South of France with his new girlfriend, Ashley Stevenson. All of this was said to have taken place in full view of other guests.
A source close to Larsa spoke with Marca, noting Marcus was “lying every day” to her. The insider shared that Larsa “can’t waste her energy on anyone who takes drugs. Her ex-husband was a pro athlete, and she is committed to living a healthy lifestyle. Larsa ended up not taking his phone calls because he was partying day and night, and he would call her up when he was messed up.” Again, I ask, where are the Bravo cameras when you need them!?
Alexia Nepola is heartbroken
Real Housewives of Miami fans learned that Todd Nepola and Alexia were headed for a divorce in April. The news came as a shock since the couple shared their wedding on the series and were currently searching for a new forever home. Alexia has been unlucky in love, so fans were hoping this could be her happy ending. In her Instagram Story, the 56-year-old said, “I am shocked and heartbroken that Todd has chosen to dissolve our marriage. I will take comfort in the fact that my friends and family will be by my side, supporting me during his difficult time. I’m praying for better times ahead.”
Todd dissolved the three-year marriage, claiming it was irretrievably broken. I would wager Alexia is not only sad but mad as hell. It would have been nice to have Bravo cameras capturing her emotions. Even though a prenup was signed just six days before their wedding, the details of it have not been revealed.
Nicole Martin birthed her baby earlier than expected
Real Housewives of Miami viewers were over the moon to see Nicole Martin pregnant at the Season 6 reunion. She and her long-time partner, Anthony Lopez, have led an unconventional life when it comes to their relationship. And while they may have been grilled a time or two, it seems to have worked out for them. The 39-year-old shared an Instagram Story updating followers, saying, “It has been hectic, to say the least, but Mommy and baby girl are recovering from a C-section that was earlier than expected, but here we are.”
With so much going on in Miami, it is surprising to know that production has yet to pick up a camera. Thanks to its flawless cast, the series has been renewed, but taping for Season 7 has been put on hold. With no reason given, it is hard for fans to fathom why. Typically, the cameras are back at it only a few weeks after the reunion airs. However, for the Real Housewives of Miami, it looks like production will start in late 2024.
