It’s good news from the courthouse, Baby Gorgeous! Lisa Barlow of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has been vindicated. The Sundance queen was sued for allegedly not paying her bills yet again. But as of last week, the case has been officially dismissed.
Lisa Barlow was in the hot seat again
The Real Housewives star’s lawyers exclusively shared with TMZ that the case was dismissed on August 15th without prejudice. However, it isn’t the best news for Lisa as it means the case can be refiled. Further, the motion to dismiss didn’t give a reason. This lawsuit was the third case against Lisa, John Barlow, and Vida Tequila. The complainant, William M. McGeary, launched the lawsuit, claiming he had been the one to borrow money for her tequila company, stating that Lisa had never paid him back.
According to the legal documents, William alleged that John told his son that Vida Tequila was strapped for cash and needed raw materials to continue to fulfill the orders. Further, William says that he did agree to loan the couple $400,000 through his trust, noting the due date to be paid back was December 2023. For Bravo fans, the newest lawsuit sounded familiar. Viewers will recall that Lisa, Vida Tequila, and Luxe Marketing, were sued in June 2023.
Additionally, a man named Bart Carlson sued for unpaid loans he claimed he had taken out on behalf of Lisa and the company, the amount totaled $410,000. In the first lawsuit, The Financial Services Corporation sued Vida Tequila and John in May for $105,954.16. Again, the complaint was that the Barlows hadn’t repaid a loan. Lisa and John have always denied the charges. Then Lisa released a statement in June saying, “I pay my bills and obligations, and I always have.”
In conclusion, with the new season of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City about to premiere, odds are good production caught Lisa “physically shaking” as she most likely chatted to one of her six lawyers.
