Should Kim Zolciak Return to RHOA?

After years of vowing to never return to the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kim Zolciak is finally mulling over whether or not she should give the series another go. The mother of six has always lived a delusional life. Between living off of Big Poppa’s allowance and marrying Kroy Biermann, Kim has acted as if the rings and multiple other luxurious items didn’t mean a thing. After Bravo decided to give the franchise a mini-reboot, the game changed.

Porsha Williams is now being welcomed back. Phaedra Parks just announced her return and Cynthia Bailey will be showing up too. With big players like Kandi Burruss gone, the show needs some star power. Cue, Kim. At this rate, she really needs to think about the long-term longevity of her reality TV career. Kim might need the show, but does the show need her?

Currently, Kim is up to her elbows in legal drama. Between her financial and legal issues, a return to the Real Housewives of Atlanta could mean a steady paycheck. Kim is looking down the barrel of losing her mansion, getting a divorce, and putting her dog to sleep. Kim owes millions to the IRS thanks to an alleged gambling addiction. And the wig connoisseur still needs to pay off her mounting credit card debt.

With all these money issues, a big Bravo paycheck couldn’t hurt. Us Weekly reported that Kim made about $600,000 per season on the Real Housewives of Atlanta. As she starred in five seasons, that would equate to around $3 million in total earnings. Returning to the Bravo series would afford her the life she has become accustomed to, assuming the network would have her back.

Ariana Biermann isn’t watchable

When fans first heard about the spin-off, Making it in Manhattan, I’d wager most of us cringed. Personally, I am not invested in watching the Real Housewives offspring, which mostly had silver spoons from birth live in the Big Apple. The press release shared that “While some hail from the spotlight of well-known families, others have created a legacy of their own, but they all are looking to thrive in the city that never sleeps. Together, they will challenge societal norms, redefine success, juggle personal and romantic relationships, and lean on each other for support in order to turn their skyline-high aspirations into reality.”

There is no way Ariana Biermann can carry the family on this new series. Ariana was once a cute and funny kid to watch, but as she has slowly morphed into her mother, fans want the real thing, not a clone. Ariana isn’t engaging or entertaining. Frankly, I am not sure how many times we can watch her pose for an Instagram selfie. If we aren’t getting Kim back on our screen, don’t insult us with a carbon copy. We all know a fake when we see one.

Does Real Housewives of Atlanta need Kim?

Love her or hate her, Kim was great TV. Real Housewives of Atlanta is not as good as it used to be, and the facts are that Kim can deliver. No one after Kim has made white wine out of a red solo cup as entertaining as the mother of six. Even though she isn’t 2009 Party City-wig, Big Poppa mistress, street fighting Kim anymore she could still add a dimesnion to the show. But do fans really want to see someone who has chosen herself over her kids amid the duration of her troubles with Kroy?

Kim can deliver reality gold any day by just being herself, as she’s so inappropriate and unhinged most of the time. In my opinion, RHOA needs her. She was good TV! Red Solo cup wine glass. Together, she, Porsha, and Phaedra would be amazing, Kim told E! “I’ve been saying I would never return, but, as I’m talking right now, I might think about it because these are two very funny and light-hearted fun people. Porsha and Phaedra might do it for me. We’ll see.”  It seems like Kim has a lot to think about when it comes to a possible return, and I hope she makes the right decision. Fans, on the other hand, might want her to stay off their RHOA.
