It looks like TomTom isn’t rebranding after all, and this time, it’s coming straight from the owner’s mouth. After SUR manager Peter Madrigal made headlines for claiming that TomTom would be rebranding to Pump, Lisa Vanderpump has set the record straight.
TomTom isn’t going anywhere
Pump closed its doors in 2023 after a decade of a business in West Hollywood. Lisa called it the “end of an era,” and at the time, she cited high rent prices as the reason behind the closure.
Meanwhile, TomTom has been going strong, but Vanderpump Rules fans have been suspecting that it could potentially undergo a rebrand thanks to Tom Sandoval’s poor public image. He’s hardly even allowed on the premises at Schwartz & Sandy’s, so it would make sense for LVP to shift away from TomTom. However, she claimed that’s far from the truth.
Lisa issued a statement to Us Weekly regarding the state of TomTom. She made it extra clear that Peter spoke out of turn and that TomTom wasn’t in the process of a rebrand. There’s more to the story, and Peter should probably keep his mouth shut moving forward.
“When we closed Pump, we moved some of the staff and our chef to TomTom, as they were so good, so we’ve been affectionately calling the back garden of TomTom the Pump Garden,” Lis clarified. “But that happened months ago!”
She continued, “Hadn’t thought about rebranding it all, but thanks for the idea, Peter! LOL.”
According to LVP, her focus right now is growing new brands rather than tinkering with the existing ones. Right now, she’s working on launching her new eatery in Las Vegas called Pinky’s. The new spot will be located in the Flamingo and marks Lisa’s third establishment on the Vegas Strip.
“We’ve been hard at work on Pinky’s at the Flamingo in Las Vegas,” LVP confirmed. “Does he want to change the name of that too?”
