Kristen Doute Addresses Luke Broderick’s Friendship With Tom Sandoval

Kristen Doute has a long history with Tom Sandoval. While starring on Vanderpump Rules as one, their relationship quickly became toxic. Years later, Kristen got the boot, though she briefly returned in Season 10 to comfort Tom’s newest ex, Ariana Madix. Last year, Kristen returned to Bravo via The Valley, where we met her new beau, Luke Broderick. Despite Tom’s past, both with Kristen and with life in general, Luke remains friendly with the guy, but as Kristen recently explained, it’s not that deep.

Kristen Doute does not dictate Luke Broderick’s friendships, not even with Tom Sandoval

Kristen and Luke have a podcast called Balancing Act. In their latest episode, they answered several questions from their listening audience. These questions all contained one similar talking point. As always on Bravo, these questions revolved around a man named Tom.

The majority of their listeners wanted to know one thing from Kristen. “Why do you allow Luke to be friends with Sandoval?” Quick with an answer, Kristen explained, “Luke can always do whatever he wants. There is no ‘allowing’ or ‘not allowing’ anything.”

Bringing Luke into the mix, Kristen notes, “I think people have this narrative in their head that you and Tom Sandoval are bosom buddies. That is such a misconception … you do like to look at both sides of things and my narrative is different because of my past with Tom.”

As for where Kristen herself stands, she does not “want to touch shit with a ten-foot pole, but she still wants “the best for Tom.” She then brought Luke back into the conversation, asking, “Luke, Tom is not your best friend. Do you want to speak about your friendship with Tom?”

He did, quipping, “I’m sorry to all the listeners who want me to judge him based on everything you’ve seen on Vanderpump Rules. We are more than cordial, more than acquaintances. We’re buddies.”

Wrapping things up, Kristen reiterated, “It doesn’t bother me. It’s not like he’s inviting Sandoval to the house so the three of us can have a Kumbaya circle.”

Sad. Tom could have brought his penis flute. Oh well. Cheers to maturity, I guess.

The Valley is streaming on Peacock sans Tom (for now).
