Jax Taylor had a shot at reality TV redemption. He and his wife, Brittany Cartwright, landed spots on the Vanderpump Rules spinoff, The Valley. However, the couple separated around March 2024. They share a three-year-old son, Cruz. Unfortunately, their messy marital problems played out across Season 1 of the new series. And now that Jax has opted to work on his mental health, Lisa Vanderpump has his back.
Lisa Vanderpump is giving Jax Taylor support
In July 2024, Jax’s rep shared that he was pursuing some “in-patient treatment” at a rehab center. The rep stated, “Jax has always been candid about his mental health struggles, especially during the past few months on his podcast. He has made the decision to seek in-patient treatment. This is a particularly sensitive time for him and his family.”
Thankfully for Jax, Lisa is offering her support. She reportedly recently reached out to The Valley star. “Lisa cares a great deal about Jax and all her staff, both current and past. She knows firsthand the pressures of being on reality TV,” an insider told RadarOnline. “It’s a tough business that eats you up and spits you out. She wants to make sure Jax knows she is proud of him.”
RadarOnline reached out to reps for Jax and Lisa for comment but did not hear back.
Of course, Lisa and Jax had a spat in April after he called Pump Rules a scripted program. “Show me a scripted show, and I’ll show you f*cking Vanderpump Rules. Scripted! I’ve been on this show for nine f*cking years,” he stated at his bar. “Don’t get me wrong: When we started, it was awesome. Seasons 1 through 6 were organic; it was real,” Jax added. He later apologized for his remarks on his podcast with Brittany, When Reality Hits.
Obviously, Lisa wasn’t happy about Jax’s comments. “I think it’s absolutely ridiculous to say ‘scripted.’ Nobody can write a script like Vanderpump Rules,” Lisa said.
Hopefully, Jax will be able to take care of his mental health and focus on his marital issues with Brittany.
