Real estate is a cutthroat industry, and apparently, real estate reality TV is just as bad. There are dozens and dozens of real estate shows, but they weren’t all created equally. Josh Flagg won’t rest until everyone knows that. The Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles star is convinced that the cast of Selling Sunset aren’t up to the same caliber as the realtors on his show. According to him, the Selling Sunset cast aren’t “licensed real estate brokers” at all.
Clearly, he’s not a Selling Sunset fan
Ever since Selling Sunset became the most talked-about real estate show on TV, Josh has repeatedly taken shots at them. Last year, he claimed that the stars of the hit Netflix show were “actors” pretending to be real estate agents. That didn’t go over so well.
In response, Jason Oppenheim stood up for his employees and defended their credentials. Meanwhile, Christine Quinn, Maya Vander, and Chrishell Stause all dragged Josh on social media. Chrishell went as far as to drop her real estate license number to prove herself. Apparently, Josh still wasn’t convinced.
During a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, Josh once again claimed that he Selling Sunset ladies weren’t actual realtors. It came up because Andy Cohen asked him if he watched the Emmy-nominated reality show.
“No. I only like to watch licensed real estate brokers,” Josh quickly responded.
Andy thought that was hilarious, even though the shade was ultimately inaccurate. Selling Sunset spends a lot of time focusing on the interpersonal drama of the agents, but they are all licensed and successful. Maybe Josh is just spiteful that MDLLA has never had the Emmy nominations that Selling Sunset had.
Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles can be streamed on Peacock.
