How Below Deck Med’s Elena Dubaich and Bri Muller Could Bury Their Feud

The fact that Below Deck Mediterranean stars Bri Muller and Elena Dubaich are literally fighting over a deckhand is ridiculous. The two stews, who are also roommates, seem to have forgotten about the famous quote, “chicks before dicks.” It is hard to figure out who is in the right. Since Bri is playing the victim, and Ellie is on a power trip. Instead of fixing their misconceptions, Bri chose to sleep on the floor of the boys’ bedroom, leading to even more issues.

Each day, there is something new for the ladies to argue about. And while fans love a good catfight, this feud seems a bit stupid, even for the most veteran reality TV viewers. But could there be a way forward for the two ladies? I think there is always hope.

Bri Muller and Elena Dubaich should drop Joe Bradley

This silly feud between Elena and Bri could be put to rest if they both give up pursuing Joe Bradley. Let’s be honest, Joe is nice and all, but he isn’t worth having a season-long feud over. The eyebrows alone would have turned me off personally. But it does feel like both Ellie and Bri are trying to assert their dominance over one another by seeing who wins Joe’s affection. Both women are intelligent, good-looking, and funny. So why not try to find someone off the boat so they can call a truce?

Joe has also led both women on, making him the real problem. As the two stews continue to feud, Joe is sitting back and enjoying the battle even though he pretends to be concerned. It is painfully obvious he doesn’t care about Bri and Ellie, so he is just wasting their time. Ladies, it’s time to stop fighting over… a man. It would be nice if Bri and Ellie could wake up and observe the problem is the person treating both of them like they’re disposable.

Aesha Scott should step in

I know Aesha Scott is the fun chief stew that everyone loves. She also has to put her foot down sometimes. Perhaps separating both Bri and Ellie would allow both a cooling-off period, but often this is difficult to do on a boat. Bri is mostly in laundry anyway so hopefully she can wash away any lingering issues.

I do think Aesha is trying her best to manage the situation but both women are acting like children. But since a whole charter has gone by without the jealousy issues being addressed, it looks like one or both might just be fired. The fact that they can’t keep their issues separate and an air of professionalism is an issue. Captain Sandy Yawn won’t waste any time in making Ellie and Bri walk the plank if they can’t get along.

Ellie Dubaich could be nicer

Since Ellie prides herself on the hierarchy I would think she would know how to show some grace to Bri. But in all reality, she has actually come off as quite mean. The second stew has attacked Bri for her lack of knowledge in the industry, her work ethic, and her overall personality. I would have to agree with Bri when she noted Ellie’s power trip, too. I wonder if it would help if Aesha demoted Ellie and took away the titles. Then Ellie couldn’t boss Bri around, and Bri couldn’t get so offended.

It didn’t go unnoticed that Ellie was being a bit of a bully, especially when she tattled to Aesha. By using her position of power, she is dragging the fight onto greater depths. Bri has done well to diffuse most of the situations, but Ellie likes to go for the jugular. Both seem self-obsessed and forget to look at the bigger picture. If Ellie had come down off her high horse and stopped acting so arrogantly, I think both women could find a happy medium. Instead, the second stew keeps isolating Bri and making her feel stupid.

Even after all this brainstorming, I don’t think Ellie and Bri will be able to avoid disaster. Both are emotionally invested in winning the guy, which makes me want to sing “The Boy is Mine” by Brandy and Monica in the background. The simple fact is, Bri and Ellie need better goals in their lives. This feud feels like it will rage on and everyone is going to suffer.
