Welcome back to our Real Housewives of Dubai Season 2, Episode 7 recap, where the shiteth hath finally hitteth the desert. In this week’s episode, “The Beauty and the Beggar,” Ayan Beauty launches forward, as does Taleen and Brooks’ friendship … for a few minutes. Meanwhile, Lesa’s work-life balance is out of whack, as Stanbury’s housewarming party also hits complicated waters. Check out everything that transpired in the sands of RHODubai Season 2, Episode 7.
Ayan is 100% a badass b*tch
“It’s Ayan’s world. We’re all just living in it,” Chanel explains. Her Ayan Beauty line launch is here, and as she knows, “100%, I’m a badass b*tch.” Next to her is her sister, wearing Chanel’s lashes from her line.
These stunning siblings then reminisce on their childhood, thankful to be in such unbelievable places as adults. But then, her models start arriving. They will all be sporting makeup and beauty products from her line.
Chanel’s brother Sadiq arrives, and she shows him her invite, where the image makes her look naked. Everyone laughs. Her son Taj enters next. He’s a model, and he’ll be walking in her show.
Chanel’s on a high. Her siblings are here, her son is blossoming, and she’s wearing an intricate gown made by Michael Cinco. As Chanel notes, “It’s my interest to show these b*tches none of you could ever.” Okay, we get it.
Stanbury and Taleen arrive, eager to support Chanel. However, Chanel is now sitting in a hallway, in sweats, eating snacks, coming undone by her encroaching anxiety.
We can all relate.
Saba and Sara arrive next, bothering Stanbury. She doesn’t like that Sara’s taking up for Brooks. A flashback to Stanbury’s desert lunch airs, showing Sara and Stanbury’s last fight.
As for Chanel, her show starts and her models slay, but Taleen turns towards the shade. “I don’t see any makeup products,” she notes. Producers then highlight Chanel’s line, proving Taleen wrong. They and Stanbury get it, as Stanbury jokes “Leave it to Ayan to make a makeup launch a fashion show.”
Lesa arrives late. Brooks arrives even later with a friend. Stanbury’s annoyed, noting that Brooks no longer has Taleen, so she has to call in “rent-a-friend,” and that “Brooks cannot watch other people succeed,” hence her tardiness.
Hell freezes over
As Chanel celebrates her successful launch, her costars all sit together outside. Trying to start a conversation, Saba inquires about Stanbury’s new home. This results in 0.26 seconds of speaking. Therefore, Raf leans over Taleen, trying to talk to Brooks.
Brooks’ answers are short. “So awkward,” Taleen whispers to her husband. Raf agrees.
In her confessional, Taleen explains that “since the desert,” she’s “really been trying to make an effort to fix things with Brooks.” However, she’s only getting short, cold responses back.
Chanel finally approaches, thanking the group for their support with a side of shade. “If any of you are so late, I still forgive you guys,” Chanel stresses. Lesa and Brooks feel her blow immediately, talking over each other to explain. “You’re forgiven anyways,” Chanel laughs, not letting anyone damper her spirits.
Sara stands up to talk to Sergio. They feel awkward because Stanbury and Sara now stand divided, yet, Sara and Sergio are like siblings, so this sucks for them. Hopefully, Sara and Stanbury can fix this.
Speaking of fixing things, Brooks finally turns towards Taleen. “I want to talk to you about something,” Brooks begins, adding “I heard your voice notes. I acknowledge your feelings.” Taleen reciprocates, apologizing in turn. Meanwhile, their entire cast is listening in, clapping at this unexpected turn of events.
Chanel then introduces her brother and sister to her crew. “That’s Brooks. Stay away from her,” Chanel laughs. Stanbury only cares about one thing though; the age of Chanel’s older sister.
The launch of Ayan Beauty ends on a high.
Beggers and blessings
A few beats later, Brooks, Lesa, and Sara meet for lunch. Lesa is still slightly miffed with Sara, but they are choosing to restart their friendship. As for Stanbury and Sara’s relationship, Sara isn’t sure what’s happening, but Brooks is. “She’s [Stanbury] a little narcissistic” she explains.
We then learn that Stanbury invited everyone to her upcoming housewarming party. Brooks isn’t “100% certain that” she wants to go, but she will.
The conversation then turns towards Taleen and Brooks’ peace treaty. Brooks reveals that Taleen “begged” her “to be in” this “friendship group. Taleen begged me to be on television,” Brooks notes, as her friends take her words in.
Across the dunes, Chanel and her siblings enjoy a picnic. They are proud of Chanel, who has always worked to ensure her loved ones are okay. She is also giving back to her community. Chanel has “the power to give.”
That night, Lesa and Rich go on a date. Here, Lesa admits that she feels “super overwhelmed.” Her life is a lot right now, but she knows she is blessed. She only wants to be a “good Lesa for Lesa.” Rich praises her while offering her his support, like a legend, and she cries.
Hell unfreezes
Taleen brings up Brooks’ apology. But Lesa then tells her that Brooks called her a beggar. She then shares why. “I guess hell hasn’t frozen over,” Taleen says.
Stanbury is preparing for her housewarming party. Thankfully Yasmine, Stanbury’s daughter, has agreed to try again with Sergio. Sergio’s pumped, saying that he sees Yasmine as his daughter, but she isn’t, and he might need several seats.
Finally, their guests arrive. And everything spirals.
Housewarming hatred
Brooks arrives, saging Stanbury’s home. Stanbury’s pissed. About the sage and the uninvited guest.
Once seated, Stanbury thanks her guests. Sergio stands, telling Stanbury to sit. Chanel jokes that Stanbury can stand because she paid for their house. Insert Brooks’, revealing in a confessional about a drunk Michael confessing that he pays for Stanbury’s bills. Chanel notes the same thing in her interview.
Bali comes up. Several of the ladies don’t want to pray. They want to party. Sara jokes that someone might need an exorcism.
Raf then jokes about how close Taleen and Stanbury are. Brooks whispers “fake, fake, fake.” Taleen calls her out. “I’m not talking to you,” Brooks answers.
UGH.
“Sergio, put music on,” Stanbury demands. Taleen follows Stanbury, still triggered about Brooks’ beggar comment. Everyone joins.
Brooks gets called out for labeling Taleen as a beggar. “You’re my girl, but correct yourself,” Raf interjects. “Shame on you,” Taleen adds, pointing at Brooks. In response, Brooks calls Taleen “two-faced”, as Raf leads Taleen away.
“Taleen, stop drinking. You’re slurring,” Brooks says, following. Raf stands up for his wife again, as Taleen asks “Are you challenging my husband?” Brooks answers “Is your husband challenging me?”
“He’s f*cking sticking up for me. Where’s your husband?” Taleen asks. “Don’t speak on women’s business” Brooks argues to Raf. “Watch your mouth,” Raf responds.
Sensing rising tensions, the cameras appear, breaking the fourth wall. Stanbury kicks everyone out, but Taleen and Brooks continue to fight in her driveway, as the credits roll on RHODubai Season 2, Episode 7.
