Jen Shah’s Assistant Stuart Smith To Be Sentenced in October

It’s sometimes easy to forget that amid the never-ending drama on Bravo, Jen Shah is sitting in federal prison somewhere in Texas, disconnected from it all. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City OG made her mark quickly on the show. Unfortunately, it took a dark turn. We’ll never forget the first time we watched the scene of her leaving a sprinter van on a cast trip right before her impending arrest. It’s an infamous reality TV moment.

Jen’s fraud trial consumed RHOSLC fans for months. It felt like it finally came to an end when her prison sentence began, even though her name will come up from time to time in the Real Housewives universe. However, Jen didn’t work alone in her criminal enterprise. Her No. 1 assistant Stuart Smith was also charged for his involvement in Jen’s crimes. If you remember, Stuart ended up flipping on Jen in her case. It ultimately ended up influencing her guilty plea. While Jen’s been behind bars, Stuart has still been a technically free man. Now, it’s about to change.

Stuart’s sentencing is impending

Attorney Ronald Richards, who has a special interest in Real Housewives legal news, broke the news on social media that Stuart is set to be sentenced on October 17. “Judge just published this. Filings have been under seal for years,” Ronalds wrote on X alongside a screenshot of court documents.

Stuart’s sentencing, which was published on July 11, is set for 2:30 p.m. on October 17. It’s unclear if he’ll get anything close to Jen’s six-and-a-half-year sentence, but we’ll be finding out this fall. While Jen is chipping away at her own sentence, she’ll likely be as, if not more, interested in finding out Stuart’s fate as the rest of us.
